Breast augmentation is a popular surgical procedure to enhance the size and shape of a woman’s breasts for reasons which include: (1) To enhance the body contour of a woman who, for personal reasons, feels her breast size is too small, (2) To correct a reduction of breast volume after pregnancy, (3) To bring balance to breasts of unmatched size, or (4) As a reconstructive technique. This procedure is performed under general anesthesia and has a recovery time of approximately 2 weeks and up to 2-3 months for complete clearance to resume regular physical tasks and exercise.
