With some fatty deposits and skin laxity, this 45-year-old female patient wanted a tighter, flatter looking midsection. At 5’10” and 152#, she had tight abdominal muscles with no separation. Her biggest problem was the magnitude of the skin laxity, which left us opting to do an extended or belt abdominoplasty. Minimal liposuction was done in the flank and upper/lateral abdomen. Removing some of the localized fat helped to mobilize the skin and allowed for better contouring. She recovered quickly.
