This 48 year old woman is concerned about the changes in her face associated with aging. She started with a Botox treatment (photos are in doctor's gallery), and she decided to proceed with filler treatment in the cheeks, smile lines and marionette lines (below the mouth). After treating the cheeks with Voluma (see additional photos in separate post), 1 syringe (1 ml) of Juvederm Vollure was used in the smile lines and marionette lines. You can appreciate in her "before" photos that she has moderate to severe volume loss below the mouth, left worse than right. More than half of the product was used to replace volume and smooth the lines below the mouth/marionette lines, with the remainder being placed in the smile lines. It is important to correct volume loss in the cheeks/midface first, as this treatment will secondarily treat the smile lines. This means less filler needs to be placed directly at the smile lines.
