Wanting to go from an A to C to make my chest proportionate to the rest of my body. 5’6″, 140 pounds w/
puffy areolae
Nov 22, 2016
Based on your pictures, you will do great with breast augmentation. You do have a minor variant of tuberous breast deformity which manifests as breast tissue that is pushed into (and under) the areolae, stretching them out, because of tightness in your lower pole.

I would recommend a shaped and slightly more firm (“gummy bear”) implant to stretch out the lower pole of your breast. You will likely have post operative puffiness under your areolae and may need a purse string…

I am 54 and have lax skin. Could I have liposuction on my thighs with good results?
Avoid liposuction
Nov 22, 2016
Based on your age and the fact that you say you have loose skin, I would avoid liposuction.

Additionally, the energy/heat producing liposuction techniques may sound attractive but I do not think they will result in any significant amount of skin tightening.

You should definitely consult in person with a board certified plastic surgeon and confirm.

Good luck.

What surgery technique would be best for me?
Best surgery for sagging breasts
Sep 14, 2016
I would recommend an auto augmentation procedure in which the lower breast tissue is placed under the upper breast tissue to simulate an implant (using only your own tissues). The procedure would be performed with a vertical pattern breast lift to improve the shape.
I’m 52 and interested in facial rejuvenation. Mini, mid, or lower facelift? I value your opinion
lower facelift questions
Aug 13, 2015
Hi and thank you for your questions.I agree that you have a square face due to a combination of jowls and possibly filler in your pre jowl sulcus that has exacerbated the squareness.I agree with your surgeon(s) to perform a facelift and neck lift. The two procedures are really integral to each other as the lower face transitions into the neck and should be addressed together. The choice of technique and anesthesia will be determined by your surgeon. There is not a clear consensus among…
How much would it cost to have scar tissue removed from the lower bottom lip?
lower lip scar
Jul 20, 2015
Most like likely you have a mass of scar tissue in the lip that occurred as a result of slow healing. This may be amenable to a steroid injection and/or surgical excision of the scar. You should consult with a specialist who can assess this and decide on the best course of action.
One stage or two stage reconstruction after nipple sparing bilateral prophylactic mastectomy?
One stage versus two stage reconstruction
Jun 25, 2015
There are a couple of issues to think about: First of all, if you’re droopy, you may consider a nipple delay procedure (and biopsy of the sub nipple tissue) to help improve blood flow to the nipple and prevent problems with nipple survival. This would be done about 2 weeks before the mastectomy. Second, you want to think about the size–if you are planning a significant size increase, a two stage (expander) may be better as it allows you to expand the pocket to accommodate the larger implant…
What is the smallest saline breast implant?
smallest impant
Mar 19, 2015
As the other surgeons mentioned, the smallest implant is around 120 cc. However, if you are contemplating such a small size increase, perhaps you should consider fat grafting instead of implants? You will need to consult with a board certified plastic surgeon to make this determination, but I have found fat grafting is a great alternative for a small augmentation.
Will a filler be able to fix my asymmetrical eyes or is an upper eyelid surgery for my left eye required
drooping eyelid from scar?
Jan 29, 2015
I do not think that the drooping in your eyelid is related to the lip injury, unless your eye was injured by the dog at the same time when you were a child.Try looking at some old pictures and see if you always had a droopy eyelid (which I suspect). If this is the case, you have congenital ptosis, which is pretty common. The treatment is surgery and in some cases can be covered by insurance (if it interferes with your vision). I would not recommend any injections.
I had a breast expander that caused my rib cage to become concave. Suggestions?
Rib cage concavity from expansion
Sep 29, 2014
Unfortunately, the process of expansion can cause skeletal changes of the rib cage. In fact, even regular implants can cause skeletal changes over time.Your plastic surgeon will be able to choose implants that will cover this concavity and give you a beautiful result.
I would like to know if I am a good candidate for a tummy tuck and breast augmentation?
Good candidate for a mommy makeover (breasts and abdomen)
Jun 6, 2014
Based on your pictures you are a great candidate for this procedure. You have excess skin in your abdomen that will be removed with an abdominoplasty and liposuction of your flanks. As far as your breasts go, you could be a candidate for a lift without implants or a lift with implants. I do not think that you would be happy with breast implants alone (without also lifting the breasts). You should see a board certified plastic surgeon who can help you make the best decision.
What kind of nose do I have and is it too big for my face?
is my nose too big for my face
Jun 6, 2014
You have a very nice nose and the answer to your question is best made by you. There are certain measurements that plastic surgeons use to determine optimal sizes and distances but the most important thing is what you think. With that being said, the width of your nose could be narrowed and your nose could be straightened on the side profile. You should see a board certified plastic surgeon in person to make these determinations.
What does a skin sparing mastectomy with implant reconstruction and expanders looks like during and afte
mastectomy results
Jun 6, 2014
There are many different ways to perform a mastectomy (skin sparing, nipple sparing, etc.) and it can be very confusing for a patient to understand. In general, skin sparing mastectomies do not preserve the nipple and areola while nipple sparing mastectomies remove the breast tissue only and no skin (or areola) are removed.
I believe I have tuberous breast deformity. Are lifts always necessary?
tuberous breast deformity and a lift
Jun 5, 2014
Based on your picture you do not have a tuberous breast. However, your large stretched areola and ptosis make you a candidate for a lift. I don’t think you would look good if you had implants placed without a lift. If you do not desire larger breasts you would do well with a lift (and no implants).
I had a car accident that left me big uncomfortable scar. What treatment would you recommend?
Scar revision on leg
Jun 5, 2014
There are two basic options for treatment of your scar–both involve excising the scar and replacing it with a thin new scar. The most simple technique is called a serial excision: The scar is reduced in size by excising part of the scar, allowing the skin to stretch and then repeating the procedure until the whole scar is out. It is done under local anesthesia and depending on the area (shin where the skin is tight) and the size of the scar, it can be done in about 3 stages.Another…
What is the likelihood that I will vomit after Rhinoplasty?
post operative nausea
May 30, 2014
I completely agree with the excellent responses below. You should also consider using Emend 40 mg on the morning of surgery. This is a new medication that is highly effective at preventing nausea. Unlike other medications that are taken to treat nausea, this medication actually can help prevent nausea in the first place. If insurance doesn’t cover it you should consider paying out of pocket ( cost is about $40-70). You just take one pill within 1.5 hours of anesthesia, on the…
