Revision rhinoplasty for tip assymetry
Jun 10, 2017
Thank you for your question and you bring up some good thoughts. After a primary rhinoplasty the tip is often stiff for 6 months to a year but after a year it should become soft and pliable. if your nose is still hard and stiff it is likely from the use of grafts that are too big or not properly placed. Wound healing problems can cause this as well but from your photos I do not see evidence of that. Also from your photos it appears that you have lots of cartilage left in your…
Big hole in my septum after a plastic surgery due to breathing problem and broken nose.
Hole in Septum after a rhinoplasty
Jun 6, 2017
I am sorry you are having so many problems with your nose. Please be aware that some of the problems you ascribe to the septal surgery are likely from other causes and may not improve with repair of the septal hole alone. I suggest you see a Facial Plastic Surgeon who has training and experience to evaluate your complaints and determine which are from the hole and what could be from other causes
Would you be considering a revision if I was your patient?
3.5 months after rhinoplasty will I need a revision
Jun 6, 2017
Thank you for your photos to review but 3.5 months after a primary rhinoplasty is too soon to be thinking a bout a revision. It will take at least 3 to 9 more months before any reputable physician would consider doing a revision surgery. Relax and follow your doctors advice. Wait for your nose to heal completely for 12 months and then decide if you need to see someone about a revision rhinoplasty. Chances are your nose will look fine and you will be happy. However; if you do…
Upturned Pig-like Nose After Rhinoplasty
Take a deep breath and relax, 3 days is too soon to judge any rhinoplasty result
Jun 5, 2017
Rhinoplasty often evokes great distress in patients for the first few days after surgery. The nose is almost always very swollen, it could be bruised and at this early stage after surgery looks nothing like it will appear in just a few days. Take a deep breath and just relax. follow your doctors advice and instructions for your care after surgery and allow the swelling to resolve. Like a butterfly emerging from a cocoon as the swelling goes away a beautiful nose will emerge.
What Is The Proper Way For Me To Clean The Dried Mucus Out Of My Nose 3 Weeks Post-Op?
Cleansing the nose after rhinoplasty
Jun 5, 2017
Nasal obstruction from dried mucus, blood and crusts following rhinoplasty is a universal complaint for the first few days and is somewhat unavoidable. The best way yo cleanse your nose soon after surgery depends totally on the technique your surgeon uses and you should ask your physician what he or she suggests you do. After your first post op visit and your surgeon has evaluated your nose, removed any splints, casts or bandages from your nose you should use over the counter…
Bad Nose Job
It is hard to wait ….. But it will be worth it
Jun 5, 2017
Even from your short post and no photos I can feel your discomfort. The most important thing i can tell you to do is wait. Wait at least 1 year to allow all the swelling to go down and fro the tissues to firmly heal in their new positions and size. For revision rhinoplasty to be sucessful the work must be done on a stable foundation that is not going to change or move. this demands that the healing process from the first procedure to be fully complete and this takes a least one year…
Too soon for revision rhinoplasty?
Is it too soon for a revision rhinoplasty
Apr 3, 2016
The short answer to your question is yes it is too soon for a revision. The very mild nostril assymetey seen I your photos may be due to swelling which will last for a minimum of 6 months to a year. Please let the final shape of your nose evolve as the swelling goes down and your nose may be perfect. A revision too soon only prolongs the wait
When can my teen have revision rhinoplasty? Is her columella and nasal rim scarring repairable? (P
my teen needs revision rhinoplasty
Mar 4, 2016
Thank you for the photos they are helpful. The longer you wait for revision rhinoplasty the greater the chance of a successful outcome from surgery. The minimum time to wait is at least 6 months but waiting a full year in your case would be my suggestion. It appears your daughter has very thick skin which makes rhinoplasty difficult. I suggest she treat the skin of her nose with Retin-A at the lowest strength for 6 months before any revision surgery. This will help reduce skin thickness and…
I had two brow lifts that didn’t work. Was something done wrong? Or does this happen?
Two failed browlifts
Feb 21, 2016
Browlifts are very effective and simple to perform. The reason for your failed procedures can only be determined from a review of the operative notes and an examination. Browlifts can be done in two main techniques. Open or endoscopic. Open browlifts involve an incision and removal of a strip of skin and muscle to lift the brow. The skin is then sutured to the immobile periosteum so the brow stays elevated. Endoscopic browlifts use short in incisions  and a small camera to separate the…

Revision of tip grafts: is it safe?
Feb 14, 2016
Assuming you find an experienced board certified facial plastic surgeon the procedure should be medically safe. If you mean safe in that the surgery will make your nose look like you desire that depends on: 1) finding a surgeon experienced in revision rhinoplasty 2) communicating clearly with your surgeon regarding what you want to look like and the surgeons ability to communicate with you the they understand your goals and have a plan to achieve that goal. It is a two way street for both of…

Opinion on browlift and SMAS facelift.

Fron looking at you photos you should not be disappointed in the results of your surgery. You look much more relaxed and refreshed with a nice rejuvenation of your face.l To address your concerns:  Jowling- I assume you mean the area at and below the corners of your mouth. This area is not jowling but is called marionettes lines. This area cannot be improved with a Faclift but can be made better with fillers or fat transfer to fill in the areas of volume loss. Browlift. Your brows are in…
Does this nose look normal for 7 days post op?
7 days post op revision rhinoplasty
Feb 13, 2016
At 7 days after a revision rhinoplasty the swelling of you nose may be at its peak. Do not fear. Allow the swelling to go down for at least a month or more before you begin to judge the results of your rhinoplasty. Be patient.
What procedure to lift my eyebrows?
Eye browlift?
Feb 10, 2016
You have heavy flat brows which are fine for a man but they can convey an appearance of anger or unhappiness. The eliminate this unspoken message Botox could be used to give you a chemical browlift and relax and lift your brow. The Botox injections would need to be repeated every 3 to 6 months but they would work in your case. The other option is an endoscopic browlift. Endoscopic lifts preserve a normal hair line and does not cause nimbleness of the scalp. It is also a permanent solution…
