Doctor Ariel N. Rad, MD, PhD, Washington, District Of Columbia Rhinoplasty Operation Procedure, Closed Technique With Osteotomies Picture

A 56 year old woman who disliked her nose. She felt it was too wide at the bridge and the tip, the tip deviated to the right, and she desired correction of the dorsal hump. She underwent a "closed" rhinoplasty (the incisions are hidden on the inside of the nostrils) with tip refinement using a "cephalic trim" technique and tip suturing, nasal bone osteotomies (controlled fracturing) and resetting of the nasal bones inward. This resulted in smooth and gently curving "dorsal aesthetic lines," i.e. the silhouette of the nose from bridge to tip, and a straight profile.
