Your symptoms are consistent with a diagnosis of atrophy for which Monalisa is a great option. Other options include vaginal estrogen which is often not recommended for breast cancer survivors. However, there are other conditions that can mimic atrophy. It is important to be evaluated by a specialist first to determine if you are a candidate. Unfortunately, MLT is not covered by insurance. Vaginal delivery leads to direct tissue injury and indirect effects (e.g. stretch injury to nerves which decrease muscle tone) that lead to vaginal laxity. This can be repaired surgically. With decreased caliber sensation should improve. If you have pain now, it is important to be evaluated prior to surgery. I would recommend a fellowship trained FPMRS specialist. Good luck!

It’s important to have a thorough exam prior to MLT treatment to identify all underlying conditions and to determine if MLT will be help with your symptoms.
