Rhinoplasty tip refinement
A rhinoplasty would help to decrease the size of your tip and also decrease the projection of your tip. A slight reduction of your dorsum and upward tip rotation would also improve the overall result. (John Michael Thomassen, MD, Fort Lauderdale Plastic Surgeon)
No doubt a tipplasty if not a full rhinoplasty would be beneficial. Almost looks like you have a mild cyrano nose; do you know if you had a lot of swelling of your tip when you were a baby? In any event, see several facial plastic specialists with years of experience. Make sure you like their photos. Be diligent and you will have a better chance of being happy. (M. Sean Freeman, MD, Charlotte Facial Plastic Surgeon)
Possible Candidate for Rhinoplasty?
It’s very helpful when photos are provided along with the question. I believe you would be a good candidate for a rhinoplasty. If you find a good board-certified plastic surgeon, it won’t be difficult for him or her to correct the tip and nostrils of your nose.
Once you find a plastic surgeon and look through their before and after gallery, make an appointment for consultation. During consultation, the surgeon will provide the best solution for the type of rhinoplasty to be done on your nose. (Henry Mentz, MD, Houston Facial Plastic Surgeon)
Would rhinoplasty work.
Rhinoplasty certainly will work to shape the tip of your nose. The thicker skin can be a minor issue, though overall you should be pleased with your result. With little to sort out with the bridge a closed tip rhinoplasty might work out well. (Peter E. Johnson, MD, Chicago Plastic Surgeon)
Good candidate for rhinoplasty?
I think you would probably be a good candidate. The limiting factor for the final result would be your skin thickness. I would certainly schedule a consult with a rhinoplasty surgeon to find out for sure what might be possible.
The kind of rhinoplasty is based on many factors, so discuss that with your surgeon. (Matthew Bridges, MD, Richmond Facial Plastic Surgeon)
Rhinoplasty candidate
You are a great rhinoplasty candidate since you are young, have great skin, and can expect a significant improvement from rhinoplasty.
Tip refinement and narrowing can be achieved by an experienced rhinoplasty surgeon. The goal is to create an elegant and defined tip with natural results.
Cartilage conservation techniques (where you shape cartilage without excising it) can be used that will create a narrow tip without weakening your tip cartilages. This will decrease the chance of an unnatural pinchy tip or weak cartilages that may create problems with your breathing or nasal tip support over time. Tip refinement is best achieved in the hands of an experienced rhinoplasty surgeon who will create a pretty and natural looking nose with long lasting results. (Sanaz Harirchian, MD, Houston Facial Plastic Surgeon)
I have a big bulbous tip. Would Rhinoplasty work?
You are an excellent candidate for Rhinoplasty surgery. This would decrease the size of your tip and also decrease the projection of your tip. Consult with a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon for an exam, and to discuss your concerns. (Robert E. Zaworski, MD, Atlanta Plastic Surgeon)
I have a big bulbous tip. Would Rhinoplasty work?
Yes, you would benefit from a rhinoplasty to address your concerns regarding your nose. You do have a large tip which can be reduced. I believe you would need an open rhinoplasty, but would need better photos for better evaluation. (Francis R. Palmer, III, MD, Beverly Hills Facial Plastic Surgeon)
Rhinoplasty for bulbous tip reduction
Closed rhinoplasty techniques can accomplish your goals of bulbous tip reduction. The bulbous tip is made more narrow with suture techniques applied to the lower lateral cartilages. Sometimes, a conservative amount of cartilage is also removed when the tip cartilages are excessively wide. For many examples and more information, please see the link and video below (William Portuese, MD, Seattle Facial Plastic Surgeon)
Rhinoplasty for the bulbous tip, large nostrils, etc. will give you a much better, proportionate nose. I need to see other views to determine all that is needed . (Toby Mayer, MD, Beverly Hills Facial Plastic Surgeon)
Rhinoplasty can help a bulbous tip
Corrective nasal surgery can indeed help you achieve your goal. In the photos you provided, it appears your septum deflects off midline, causing a deviation of the nose and “uneven” nostrils.
After realigning the septum, conservative tip cartilage excision and suturing techniques can narrow your tip nicely. It may take over a year to see your final result due to thick skin, so be patient! (Jeffrey Joseph, MD, FACS, Lafayette Facial Plastic Surgeon)
Bulbous tip corrections
bolbus tip can be corrected with tip rhinoplasty under local anaesthesia simultaneously nosestrill asymetry can be tackle yand improved (Milan Doshi, MBBS, MCh, New Orleans Plastic Surgeon)
I prefer to perform open rhinoplasty. I feel that I am better able to visualize the anatomy and perform the needed corrections more accurately. I think you are a good candidate for rhinoplasty and a more refined tip that is not crooked is attainable. Your caudal septum appears deviated and correcting that deviation may correct the difference you notice in your nostrils. Find a plastic surgeon who is passionate about rhinoplasty and express all of your concerns to him/her. Best Wishes! (Jules Walters, MD, )
