Significant aging in four years… what procedures would help me look more like the ‘before’ photo o
Start with filler
Oct 17, 2020
Around your mouth, a big change is a decrease in the size of the white roll – the thin white line that goes between the red part of the lip and the skin of the face. A small filler injection into this is a minor change that can restore a much more youthful look to the mouth. For your eyes, it’s probably a little early for surgery, but you could consider a limited lower blepharoplasty or just some filler here too to soften the step-off between the eyes and the cheeks and restore some of the…
Sudden under eye bags that won’t go away. How can I make them go away?
Normal aging
Oct 8, 2020
It is likely that these have been developing for some time and that a few bad nights of sleep made them stand out more. There are a number of topical creams that claim to reduce eye bags, but these tend only to last as long as they are on the skin. A small amount of filler could help to mask the bags – see someone with experience in facial fillers. Surgery is also an option. For bags this size, it’s possible to go through the eyelid without leaving a scar on the face.
Bad surgery result 3 times. What do you think of my situation and what do you propose?
Consider a double incision
Oct 8, 2020
From these photos, it looks like you might have a better outcome with a “double incision” top surgery where a second incision is made to remove some of the excess skin.
Mild ptosis in one eye – can it be corrected?
Can’t guarantee perfect symmetry
Oct 8, 2020
You do have a very minor ptosis. If you were born with it, it can be a little more tricky to correct. Your best chance at symmetry is to operate on both sides.
What are the odds insurance will cover a reduction if ribcage is 27″, bust 34” and I’m a G cup?
You’ve got a good chance at insurance coverage
Oct 8, 2020
The key factor in getting insurance approval for a breast reduction is the symptoms, not the size. Generally, insurance companies will look for neck and shoulder pain, rashes, bra strap grooving, difficulty finding bras that fit and difficulty performing activities in your daily life – including exercising. It is also helpful if you have tried some nonsurgical alternatives such as tylenol, ibuprofen, physical therapy, and getting specialty bras. Most surgeons who perform insurance breast…
Am I a good candidate for lower belly liposuction or would I need something more extensive?
Liposuction would be great for you
Oct 8, 2020
For a single bothersome area in a person who is not overweight, liposuction can be very effective. If you have had children or lost a lot of weight, a tummy tuck would be more appropriate.
How can I get my eyes to be similar to his?
Canthoplasty and possible ptosis repair
Oct 8, 2020
In the photo you posted, you appear to have some laxity in your lower lids (or it could be that you are looking up at the camera). This can be corrected by tightening the lower eyelids out on the sides (a lateral canthoplasty) so that the distance between your lower lid and the bottom part of iris (colored part of the eye).
22 years old. How to permanently fix lines under the eye bag, that are on cheekbones?
Negative Vector
Oct 8, 2020
From these photos, you appear to have what we call a negative vector. This means that your eyes protrude farther than your cheek bones. This can exacerbate the appearance of dark circles under the eyes. At your young age you could try a small amount of filler to see if this improves your look in a way that you like. If it does, you could consider cheek implants. There are more involved procedures to address this problem, but its hard to say without a full face photo.
How can I go from having monolid, almond shaped eyes to hooded eyes as an Asian male?
Yes
Oct 8, 2020
Some Asian people lack the dermal attachments that create the fold of skin that most people have in the center of there eyelid. Personally, I think this is an attractive feature, especially combined with a raised lateral canthus (also called positive canthal tilt), but if this is not the look for you, a second fold can easily be created by placing sutures between the skin and the deep structures in the eyelid. Be sure to see someone with experience in Asian eyelid surgery to get the best…
Am I a good candidate for ethnic rhinoplasty? What specific procedures would you recommend?
What a rhinoplasty can do
Oct 7, 2020
Alar base reduction will help the nostril flare, but it won’t change your tip. A slight reduction of the alar cartilages may give you more tip definition and a finer tip without totally changing your nose and throwing off the balance of your face. Make sure to find a surgeon experienced with rhinoplasty.
Can any procedure improve the aesthetics of my eyes?
Ptosis workup and repair
Oct 5, 2020
You have bilateral upper eyelid ptosis. This means that the muscle that opens your eye is not working fully. There are a number of potential causes of this. It can be something you were born with, a result of aging or using hard contacts, or a symptom of another illness. It is worth seeing an occuloplastic surgeon to investigate the cause and make sure you get the correct treatment which is often, but not always, surgery. If it is surgery, there is a good chance it can be covered by your…
Can crooked nose be straightened?
You can get straighter
Oct 5, 2020
While it is very difficult to create a perfectly straight nose from a crooked nose, I suspect you could get significantly straighter with a septoplasty and perhaps a re-fracturing of your nasal bones
It is worth it to do breast reconstruction revision surgery?
There is always room for revision
Oct 5, 2020
While at a certain point, revision does start to have diminishing returns, there are a few things that would be helpful for you. I believe if your raised the inflammatory fold, you could achieve a more natural shape. I would also consider a little bit smaller of an implant. You are a thin person and large implants are always going to look a little unnatural.
Asian Double eyelid surgery. Is this a realistic outcome for me?
Yes
Oct 5, 2020
That is a very realistic outcome if you see a surgeon with experience in Asian eyelid surgery. Be sure to discuss your goals with your surgeon before surgery
What can I do about sides of mouth?
Fillers first then facelift
Oct 5, 2020
This are call marionette lines. They are a result of the cheek tissue being drawn down by gravity and hanging over the ligaments at the corner of the mouth. I have successfully used fillers to soften these lines in patients. This may be a good temporizing option to hold off a face lift until you are older.
