Please be very careful: Your perception of a “destroyed body” makes you very vulnerable. From the pictures you do have a nice body (still). Surgery is not without its down side and might leave you even more dissatisfied should your “ideal self” not be attained. Greetings. The problem is more diffuse than simply the belly button. Your picture shows a wide separation of your muscles, a common occurence following pregnancy. Addressing only the belly button is quite tricky and would leave you unhappy. However, reading between the lines, you appear not to be quite psychologically ready for a tummy tuck. I do not believe that patients understand their rights: A physician should ethically refrain from commenting on another part of a patient’s body UNLESS the opinion directly impacts the result the patient ‘s expected result. While it is possible and is done all the time, “above the neck” and “below the neck” surgeries demand different skills and different mindsets from the surgeon. One is power surgery (liposuction) and the other a finesse surgery (rhinoplasty). Liposuction is a surgery of bulk and expediency while rhinoplasty is a surgery of precision and attention to details.
