If this is a scar from “popping” the acne, the area may stay red for a little while. Scars can take up to a year to finalize. You could wait a little longer, as it likely will continue to lighten. Topical retinoids such as retinA/tretinoin could help. If no change is seen in a few more months, I would consider having a cosmetic procedure done, such as microdermabrasion, a remodeling laser, or even a little bit of dermal filler (if the center remains depressed).
