How much does a rhinoplasty cost?
The cost of rhinoplasty will vary depending on the complexity of the surgery (primary versus revision, tip work versus bony work, need for grafting, alar reduction, etc) as well as the skill and qualification of the surgeon.
Geographical location will also influence the cost. You should also look at the OR fee and anesthesiologist fee. Many surgeons do not have their own operating room and OR fees can be quite expensive.
Often times the prices that are initially quoted only include the surgeon’s professional fee. That said, in southern california, for a primary rhinoplasty, a ballpark out of pocket cost would be $7000 to $10000.
Obviously, don’t choose your surgeon based solely on who is the cheapest. This is your face and rhinoplasty is a complex operation that requires considerable skill to do well. See someone well respected in your area who can guide you through the process. (Sirius K. Yoo, MD, New York Facial Plastic Surgeon)
Rhinoplasty costs can vary throughout the country, just like the cost of living. Rhinoplasty is a complicated operation, even when it appears “simple.” Revision rhinoplasty is usually more expensive than primary rhinoplasty because the operation is usually more complex, and may involve cartilage from other sites.
Your doctor should address your cosmetic issues, as well as any breathing problems you may have so that your nose will look its best and work well too.
It is important to choose a surgeon that is board-certified and has experience in both the inside and outside of your nose. (Jennifer Levine, MD, Washington DC Facial Plastic Surgeon)
Cost of a Nose Job / Rhinoplasty
Rhinoplasty is one of the most complex and intricate procedures of the face. Prices vary and depend on the area you live in and the level of complexity of your surgery. In a more urban area you can expect to pay more for your surgery. Additionally, the level of complexity and whether this is a primary or revision rhinoplasty can alter the price. On average, in an urban setting, you can look to pay an all-inclusive price ranging between $8,000-$12,000 dollars for a primary rhinoplasty. (Michael T. Somenek, MD, FACS, Milwaukee Plastic Surgeon)
Cost of rhinoplasty surgery.
Rhinoplasty costs vary by state and by surgeon experience. Choose your surgeon very carefully, and pricing should be just a small part of this very important decision. Look for a board certified plastic surgeon that has extensive experience in this procedure. (Dustin L. Reid, MD, Austin Plastic Surgeon)
Rhinoplasty prices
The cost of nose reshaping or rhinoplasty is based on:- extent of the procedure – which can vary widely. For example, if cartilage grafts or extensive suture shaping are needed, or work on the internal structures such as the nasal septum or nasal polyps (turbinates) to improve breathing, then cost will be related to these variable factors.
- time of the operation – if done as a self pay or elective procedure without insurance coverage, costs are often related to the time in the operating room for anesthesia and the facility fee (room time). Sometimes insurance will cover the portion of the operation related to improving breathing.
- experience of the surgeon – may also affect cost as the fees may vary based on the surgeons’s expertise or approachIt is especially important to do your research before selecting a surgeon for rhinoplasty. Although rhinoplasty is a very safe operation, it requires great aesthetic judgement and surgical experience as well as an individualized approach for each patient in order to obtain optimal results. (Frank Barone, MD, Toledo Plastic Surgeon)
The cost of rhinoplasty / nosejob in each state
The cost of rhinoplasty is very dependant on the particular surgeon. Not all surgeons have the same technical expertise. This does absolutely not mean that the most expensive surgeons are the best, yet I would be hesitant to pursue a significantly discounted surgery.
What you can expect most to be around the country is between 6000 – 20000 with most ranging around 8-10 for qualified surgeons. Just remember that each surgeon has a different aesthetic and different capabilities. (Ben Talei, MD, Beverly Hills Facial Plastic Surgeon)
In my practice Rhinoplasty comes in a Surgical Package which includes all the direct related surgical expenses as the honorarium of the surgical team, hospital, and post op visits. In Aesthetic cases, the cost is $3,600.00 dlls. (Fernando Guerrerosantos, MD, Mexico Plastic Surgeon)
I agree with the other doctors regarding not shopping for a rhinoplasty surgeon based on price.
I would ask the doctor if they ENJOY doing rhinoplasty. It is a very demanding operation, and not one that should be rushed.
If the physician doesn’t enjoy the challenge, then they are not going to do a good job. While it is important that they have experience, numbers alone don’t mean anything. Ask to see pictures of their work, and even ask to see a picture of a patient that didn’t turn quite perfectly, which is a good test of their honesty. (Paul W. Loewenstein, MD, )
Rhinoplasty cost in Barcelona
It depends. It can range from 2300 euros until 5000 euros. If septoplasty is performed along with the aesthetic rhinoplasty and general anaesthesia is used, the price is higher. (Joan San Miguel Moragas, MD, DDS, Spain Facial Plastic Surgeon)
