Is this a ptosis repair?
looks like ptosis
Oct 30, 2015
You should see an oculoplastic surgeon for a complete ophthalmic and cosmetic evaluation of your eyes
Feeling extremely disappointed with an extra large chin implant
need time to heal
Oct 30, 2015
If the tape is still on, you cannot draw hard conclusions of the cosmetic results. Even after the tape and sutures are removed, there will be swelling which takes weeks to subside. If the chin implant is not right, it can be removed. And jaw surgery, tho more involved could be the more appropriate procedure, but give yourself time to heal as you are very early in the healing process
Will my nose be weaker after a Septoplasty?
Deviated septum
Oct 2, 2015
When a septoplasty is done correctly, the surgeon leaves ample cartilage on the top (dorsum) and the bottom (caudal end) for support. This will prevent the nose from being “weaker” after the procedure. Additionally, often straight pieces of the septum are reinserted during the septoplasty for additional strength. If the lower nose is very weak before surgery, supportive struts should be inserted.Your deviation is far back in the nose and removing it and fixing it should not…
Post rhino my bridge is still not straight, & the nasal bones still protrude from frontal view. Am I b
Very early in healing process
Oct 2, 2015
Your concerns are understandable. Rhinoplasty can be an emotional experience and many patients look closely at the results early on.BUT it is DEFINITELY too early to get very concerned about the shape of the bridge. The lining of the bones, the periosteum, as well as the surrounding tissue, swells a lot and will change for the better as the weeks progress.Keep in touch with your surgeon. Express your concerns and follow up closely. It will take 6 to 9 to 12 months for…
Disappointed with my rhinoplasty result. What should I do?
Too early to judge
Jun 1, 2015
There are a lot of emotions that a patent experiences before and after cosmetic surgery. You are very early in the healing process and there is almost always swelling 3 days after surgery.Follow up with your surgeon and discuss your concerns. Reassurance will help you a lot right now. It can take months for swelling to subsideBe patient and stay calm
I have a small dorsal hump and asymmetry of the nose. What’s least invasive way to correct it?
nose asymmetry
Jun 1, 2015
It best to have your nose examined in person so the cartilage and bone can be examined and felt by the doctor. Rasping of the bony bump and careful lowering of the cartilaginous bump may be necessary. There is a lot of discussion of “nonsurgical rhinoplasty” and use of fillers to camouflage nasal deformities but the results are temporary and often add volume to the nose and are not helpful for “reduction rhiniplasty”.
Do I need surgery?
surgery may help
Mar 4, 2015
I see a few things from your images. The first picture, and it may be inaccurate, shows that the eyes appear a little “crossed”. Secondly, your upper lids are slightly puffy and droopy, as you mentioned. The lower eyelids also have some puffiness due to protruding fat of lower eyelid. An upper and lower blepharoplasty may benefit but I would suggest a thorough evaluation with an oculoplastic surgeon. These type of eye doctors can do a full eye exam and are…

Mar 2, 2015
I would not get too alarmed but you should see your surgeon sooner than later. It does not appear to be “necrosis”, but it could be infected and your surgeon should see u soon
Follow up: NYC surgeons comfortable replacing an implant?
Options for implants
Mar 2, 2015
Nose implants are usually inserted for specific reasons, perhaps due to a saddle nose deformity or marked asymmetry. The nose needs to be assessed carefully and the treatment must be individualized. There are a variety of very good options for dorsal grafts, which include ear cartilage graft, irradiated rib grafts, autogenous rib, and even certain alloplastic materials. Ideally, ear cartilage or septal cartilage should be first choice, if they are available…
Have I chosen the right surgeon?
Rhinoplasty surgeon
Mar 2, 2015
Having an online presence or a lot of reviews should not be the main reason one chooses a rhinoplasty surgeon, though it can validate the doctor’s experience. It would be good to understand how long she has been practicing and how often she performs rhinoplasy surgeryAlso, it would be really helpful for you to see a variety of before and after photos of the surgeon’s work and perhaps talk to some of her/his patients.Lastly, it is good that you feel comfortable with the…
24 year old Asian Rhinoplasty & Cheek Augmentation recommendations/options?
rhinoplasty with cheek implants
Feb 22, 2015
A well performed rhinoplasty can give you more tip definition with appropriate narrowing of the bridge and tip. You may also benefit from an alar base narrowing procedure. The bridge can be elevated in several ways: osteotomies, possible cartilages grafts, or even an implant, depending on how much height you desire.Cheek elevation can be done with malar or cheek implants. These implants have their pros and cons, which your surgeon should discuss. Buccal fat pad…
Which Procedure First: Scar Excision on Nose or Rhinoplasty?
do rhinoplasty first
Feb 2, 2015
Though it is best to examine a nose before making a firm decision, it seems better to make the nose smaller and do the rhinoplasty first. The skin will re-drape over the new and smaller nasal shape and the scar may be less noticeable.
What are my options with rhinoplasty?
nose surgery
Feb 2, 2015
Fixing your deviated septum can improve your breathing. The nose needs to be examined to determine the extent of blockage from the deviated septum. In terms of elevating the bridge, there are several options and the most appropriate option depends on how much elevation you want. Using your own septal or ear cartilage as a graft is the best option. Other options include rib cartilage or foreign, sterile medical grade implants which run the risk of extrusion or…
Should I have had belpheraplasty before/after Botox eyebrow lift?
Bleph and Botox
Nov 7, 2014
I think it is BEST to let Botox wear off before having a blepharoplasty. Botox can affect brow position and eyelid movement. It is best to have a bleph when eyelids are not affected by Botox
1.5 years post-op: what exactly is this?
post op asymmetry
Nov 7, 2014
It looks like a transcolumellar incision was used (an open approach) and there is a little asymmetry of the scar and maybe a little red. There may also be some asymmetry of underlying medial crura of tip cartilages. Perhaps a CO2 laser to the scar would help, but if there is asymmetry, your surgeon could perform a minor revision to improve the appearance
