Answer Snippet
What is the best way to find out if a doctor actually really does specialize in face lifts.
Facelift specialist
Apr 8, 2015
You have to ask how many facelift they perform annually or the total number of facelifts performed. Then ask to see pictures and maybe talk to a few patients. I am a facial plastic surgery who does no body procedures. I was very fortunate to have worked for Lifestyle Lift where over 9 years I performed many facelift and eyelid procedures.
I have a general question regarding a Doctors responsibility and obligations.
Dog ear repair
Apr 8, 2015
The dog ears should have been addressed by performing a procedure to reposition the earlobes not a forehead lift. I am perplexed why that was recommended. The original doctor should repair them at no charge. This new doctor is not obgbligated to do it complimentary but maybe as a reduced fee since they did perform the forehead lift.
How long until swelling goes down after a facelift?
Swelling after facelift
Apr 8, 2015
Elevation of the head, cool compresses and steroids can be used to speed the process. It’s early so swelling is just part of the process and the maximum swelling is around day 4.
Urgent help needed with a necrosis question.
Necrosis after facelift
Apr 8, 2015
Silva dens is ver good to treat the necrosis. As for the hair loss the follicles go into shock during stressful times and the hair falls out. You should wait 3-4 months to see how much grows back. Hair transplants can be done for the bare areas that remain.
If you have a face/neck lift under local and oral sedation, will you be wearing a hospital gown?
What to wear for facelift
Apr 8, 2015
Just wear something comfortable as drapes and a blanket can be placed under the drapes. Just make sure that you wear a top without a collar.
What can be done to my nose for a more feminine, slimmer and defined nose?
Rhinoplasty
Apr 8, 2015
The tip can be narrowed along with the bones. It appears that the skin of the lower half of the nose is thick and may need to be debunked to allow better draping over the new framework.
Would an alarplasty/rhinoplasty be suitable for my face?
Alarplasty
Apr 8, 2015
Difficult to tell from the pictures. However a small resection of the alar could provide some narrowing. You have to be careful because as you narrow the nostrils the tip can then appear larger and need to be narrowed to maintain the proportions.
Alarplasty and tip refinement on very wide black nose. Possible?
Nostril and tip refinement
Apr 8, 2015
My assessment of your nose and recommendations are as follows:1. Narrow the nostrils with alar reduction to reduce the roundness and help make a pyramid shape when you view it from the bottom.2. Narrow and elevate the tip of the nose by placing a cartilage strut between the tip cartilages that make up the tip. This will also help make the nose more of a pyramid.3. The bones of the nose may be narrowed to keep the overall proportion appropriate.4. Consider a chin implant to balance it with…
13 weeks out from lower face/neck lift. Have cording and hard lumps under chin – how do I fix this o
Lumps after facelift
Apr 7, 2015
It appears that there was too much liposuction or some type of platysmaplasty was performed. You may benefit from steroid shots in the area to soften scar tissue and help reduce the mounds between the ridges. This can be repeated 3-4 times. After that you may need a scar revision but only after 6-9 months to allow the scar to soften.
Eye Asymmetry – causes and treatments?
Eye asymmetry
Apr 7, 2015
First of all no one is perfectly symmetric. After careful analysis it appears that the upper eyelid of left eye may be a bit lower thsn the right. That is called ptosis and it can be corrected by oculoplastic surgeons that specialize in ptosis repair.I also looked carefully at the nose which appears to have a slight depression on the left which caused the distance from the corners of each eye to the nose to be a bit different and thus making the eyes look different. It is possible that…
For my nose, would it be possible to give it more of a slope and make it not as long?
Nose made shorter with more slope
Apr 7, 2015
The nose can be given more of s slope but it will make the nose look longer at the tip. The tip can then be shortened a bit but is limited but the length of the nostril. You don’t want the tip to be disproportionate to the nostril length.the nose is splinted for one week and I typically do not get much bruising around the eyes. So you can return to work without anyone knowing.
Is a septoplasty with a rhinoplasty cheaper than having just the rhinoplasty? How much cheaper is it
Septoplasty versus rhinoplasty
Apr 7, 2015
A septoplasty is usually covered by insurance but if you have to pay out of pocket it ranges from $2000-$3000.A rhinoplasty price ranges from $3000-$10,000 depending on what it entails.
How Much Does Rhinoplasty Cost?
Rhinoplasty cost
Apr 7, 2015
The cost of a rhinoplasty depends upon how much needs to be done to achieve the result. I tend to approach it as follows:1. Tip only- $2500-$30002. Narrow nostrils-$25003. Narrow nasal bones-$25004. Reduce a hump-$25005. Cartilage graft placement-$1000-$1500
What will help get rid of marrionette lines and lift my face ever so slightly, non-surgically? (Phot
Marionette lines
Apr 7, 2015
Marionette lines can be treated with fillers very easily. Another alternative is to have your own fat transferred from a sort of your body to the lines. It tends to last longer if the cells are accepted thrive.
Is There a Non Surgical Face Lift That Works?
Non surgical facelift
Apr 7, 2015
There are minor procedures that can make improvements in one’s face. They include fillers that can replace volume and provide some fullness in certain areas. Volume is a new filler that can be placed in the cheeks to provide some restoration and elevate sagging tissues slightly. Laser treatments can promote collagen and skin tightening. However, when there is excess sagging skin, jowls, prominent neck bands then a facelift is indicated to give the best result. Don’t let the term facelift…
