Answer Snippet
What is the best treatment to handle under eye laxity and wrinkles?
Lower Blepharoplasty
Mar 14, 2018
The best treatment for excess lower eyelid skin is a lower blepharoplasty. Although the other treatments that you mentioned can improve excess skin, they do not measure up to the gold standard treatment of surgical correction. A lower blepharoplasty will give you the longest lasting and most noticeable results.
Average amount of Dysport for men with moderate lines on forehead especially 11's.
Dysport
Feb 8, 2018
As the other doctor replied, it is impossible to know how much dysport is needed until you are seen in person and the injector can evaluate the dynamic motion and strength of the muscles producing the “11s”. Typically, this area requires at least 15-20 units for males but certainly can vary.

Droopy right eyelid due to trama, how can I fix it?
Eyelid ptosis
Dec 29, 2017
Eyelid drooping, also known as eyelid ptosis, is very common after a traumatic injury. This can be easily corrected with a minor eyelid procedure. Ptosis repair can be done with an external (incision on the outside of the eyelid) approach or an internal (incision hidden on the inside of the eyelid) approach. Based on your response to Visine, you may very well be a candidate for the internal approach. This can be verified in the office with an eye drop test. Be sure...
Does a bulbous tip automatically mean you have thick skin?
Bulbous tip
Nov 19, 2017
A bulbous tip can result from many causes: Thick skin, convex cartilage, poorly positioned cartilage, and more. Thorough examination of your nose should easily determine the underlying cause. Be sure to consult with a double board certified, fellowship trained, Facial Plastic Surgeon who performs multiple rhinoplasties each week. Good luck.
Is it common for eyes to feel heavy a few hours after surgery? With this lead to ptosis (droopy eye)?
Heavy eyelids
Nov 8, 2017
It is completely normal for your eyes to feel heavy immediately after surgery. This is due to multiple factors including the local anesthetic injection, the swelling around the eyelids, as well as normal muscular weakness after eyelid surgery. I would not anticipate or be concerned about eyelid ptosis this early in the healing process.
What is the best alternative to a mid face lift?
Fat grafting
Aug 30, 2017
I agree with many of the other responses in that it appears that your cheek volume has descended. Certainly a cheek lift (or mid-face lift) would help to address this entire area. Alternatively, fat transfer would be a reasonable alternative to permanently restore volume in the deficient areas.
Would a nose tip refinement surgery benefit me or even be possible?
Rhinoplasty
Jul 17, 2017
The end result of any rhinoplasty should meet the following goals: it should fit that individual's face, it should continue to breathe well, it should appear natural and non-surgical, and it should become less of a distracting feature on the face. Every rhinoplasty that is performed is tailored toward that specific individual and no two procedures are done the same way. Based on your photos, the base of your nose is a little wide for your face and there is slight bulbosity to the...
What is the best treatment option for under eye wrinkles that worsen when I smile?
Botox
May 28, 2017
It is quite common for the lines beneath the eyes to appear worse after Botox to the crows feet. This can easily be made better by adding conservative amounts of Botox to the muscle underneath the eyelid. Just be sure that your injector is a board certified surgeon familiar with the complex anatomy around the eye.
Too young for deep nasolabial folds. Should I have a facelift or will fillers work?
Fillers or fat
May 23, 2017
The melolabial folds are an excellent place for either synthetic filler or autologous fat transfer. Fat transfer offers a permanent and natural solution while fillers have to be repeated every 6 to 9 months in this area. I would not recommend a facelift for two reasons. Given your age and overall healthy skin tissue, you'll notice very little benefit with a lift. Additionally, facelifts do not really address the melolabial fold area. These...
Is a mini lift the best option for me?
Neck lift
May 11, 2017
I agree with the previously stated answer. Based on your photos, you appear to be a candidate for a true neck lift. This involves tightening the muscular layer beneath the skin to improve the jowling along the jaw line as well as the neck bands and skin laxity. Procedures done under local anesthesia need to be considered carefully against the risks of discomfort, elevated blood pressure, hematoma, and sub optimal results.
What is the most long term fix for nasolabial folds?
Fat grafting
May 9, 2017
Fat grafting is a very safe, long-lasting, natural-appearing alternative to fillers. The melolabial fold is one of the most commonly treated areas with fat. The fat is typically taken from the patient's thighs or abdomen and carefully injected into the areas of the face that need more volume.
How long should a eyebrow lift last?
Brow lift duration
May 7, 2017
There are two ways that I counsel my patients in terms of the duration of a procedure:
One answer is that the results will last forever. Meaning that if you came in with your twin and you had the procedure, but your twin did not, your brows would alway appear more youthful than your twin's
The second answer is that the type a brow lift performed, the aggressiveness of the brow lift, and the severity of your brow ptosis will all determine how...
How early should one consider fat grafting to counter anti-aging?
Fat grafting
May 5, 2017
It is perfectly safe to perform fat grafting at any age. In fact, some craniofacial pediatric anomalies are best treated with fat grafting. Fat grafting can and should be done to achieve a very natural, non-surgical appearance. Fat grafting, just like fillers, is not a one-size fits all approach. Different patient require different amounts The skill and experience of the surgeon performing the procedure is the most important factor in achieving optimal results. Just like with...
Is it okay to have filler prior to lower face lift?
Filler Prior to Facelift
May 5, 2017
The answer is that it depends on multiple variables including the type of filler used, the location of the filler placement, the time between the filler and the procedure, and the type of facelift that your surgeon is performing. If the skin will be elevated in the location where the filler has been placed (and the filler is still present), then you should not do fillers to those areas. Your surgeon should easily be able to explain why this is the case.
Is it too much stress for your facial skin if you get a full face CO2 fractional at the same time as a
CO2 with facelift
May 5, 2017
The answer is that it depends. But generally speaking, a deep CO2 LASER should not be performed over any of the skin that has been elevated in a facelift. The reason being is that the skin is completely detached from its underlying blood supply that comes from the fat beneath it. Therefore, performing a deep CO2 LASER (for skin tightening and fine wrinkle correction) puts the skin at risk of dying. A deep CO2 LASER can be safely performed around the mouth during a facelift (to correct...
