Rhinoplasty considerations
Jan 31, 2015
First of all, you mention that you feel your nose is too big for your face, so it would be very helpful to at least see a full face photo, as sometimes other facial features can make your nose look bigger than it actually is (e.g. a small chin). This aside, it appears that you have a modestly wide tip, a small hump along the roof of your nose, and borderline widening of your nostrils. While I don’t mind patients bringing in photos of desired results, you are correct in that one…
Revesion Rhinoplasty is it worth it ?
Make an educated decision…
Jan 31, 2015
I suspect that you have already obtained opinions and consultations on your nose. Often times, the changes that you are describing are due to inadequate structural support after the first surgery, such that changes are seen gradually over time (years). I would recommend that you seek consultation with a rhinoplasty surgeon who is very experienced with revision rhinoplasty procedures. There are certainly unique issues that previously operated nose present and so you want a…
How can I fix my asymmetrical face? Can you recommend procedures, which can fix it and if so how much d
Facial asymmetries
Jan 17, 2015
Facial asymmetries such as yours are relatively common. There are numerous approaches to making things more symmetric, and they may include “jaw surgery”, but there is no one technique that is perfect. Please seek evaluation by a surgeon who is experienced with evaluating and treating such facial asymmetries (the specialty is not as important). Through the use of facial implants and, possibly, bony osteotomies (“jaw surgery”, but most likely limited in nature), one can…
Is it legal to get a rhinoplasty at age 16 in Minnesota with parental consent?
legal age
Jan 17, 2015
With on site parental consent, it is most likely legal to have a rhinoplasty performed at age 16. This is not an uncommon situation. However, please don’t count on such a procedure “changing your life”. If it can help your self-esteem, that’s great, but you shouldn’t set yourself up for disappointment. Regardless, from your photos, you do look like a good candidate for rhinoplasty surgery. Just make sure that when the time is right to seek consultation…
I would like to know if rhinoplasty would help me achieve my desired nose?
Rhinoplasty
Jan 17, 2015
The issues with your nasal appearance involve the excessive width of the tip and nostrils (ala) and flattening of your nose. While it may not be possible to obtain the precise result you are looking for, proper rhinoplasty surgery should get it close. Please seek consultation with an experience rhinoplasty surgeon/specialist for which there are many.
Can Permanent Prolene Sutures Used in Subperiosteal Midface Lift be Released?

Jan 17, 2015
The important bit of information omitted from your comments is with respect to how long ago your surgery was. If within 6 months or so, you are still healing and such sensations are likely to go away. If greater than a year or so, while removing the sutures might help, they are usually not the cause of the sensation issues. Fortunately, these usually go away over time. Good luck to you.
Should Rhinoplasty Come Before or After Face Lift?
Either first ok, but can do both
Jan 17, 2015
Just so you know, you can do both the rhinoplasty and the facelift at the same time. This has the advantage of one having one recovery and saving on total money spent. If you wish to separate them, I really don’t think it matters much which you do first. Good luck!
Can I have a revision in 6 months or less in the US? I’m suffering emotionally and avoiding social cont
Please be patient!
Jan 16, 2015
You are very early in the healing process, so you need to wait 6 months or longer before considering any changes that you do not like as being permanent. Most experienced revision rhinoplasty surgeons recommend waiting at least 1 year for revision. Best of luck to you.
What’s the best way to fix my caudal deviation?
Deviated columella
Jan 16, 2015
While I’m uncertain of the cause of your columellar deviation, it appears that either the end of the septum or a graft at the end of the septum is bulging into the right nostril, and this is the likely cause of the deformity. The methods you mention are all considered and may all be used at once. Please consult with an experienced revision rhinoplasty surgery and they can evaluate these issues for you. Good luck.

Jan 16, 2015
Hopefully, there is some swelling that is making it appear more crooking than it actually is, so wait for a few months. In the mean time, try massaging the mid-portion of the nose towards the left (do this 3-4 times a day for a few weeks). Most importantly, review your concerns with your surgeon soon. Good luck!
Had bellafill today on pitted chin…very swollen and chin poking out. When will I look normal?
May be normal
Jan 16, 2015
The picture is hard to see but, it may be normal swelling after an injection. Let it settle down before you rush in to do anything. If you don’t like the look afterwards, go back to the injector and have them evaluate you. Hope this helps, it appears normal.
How can I fix my botched nose job?
Unhappy with rhinoplasty result
Jan 16, 2015
There are many questions to answer, such as how long ago was the surgery and what are the specific details of your concerns? You mentioned it being upturned to much. Unfortunately, the photos do not reveal too much. I recommend that you consult with an rhinoplasty surgeon with vast experience in revision procedures. There are several in your area. Good luck to you.
What can I do now with Chin implant results? Should I take out through the mouth or underneath chin (pl
Implant too large?
Jan 16, 2015
Yes, it seems that it might be best to have the implant removed. While it’s difficult to determine from these photos, it does seem a bit large and possibly even improperly positioned. I assume that you have spoken to the surgeon about your concerns. Removing it should not be difficult but the question then becomes whether to replace it with a smaller implant or just leave it out completely. Good luck to you.
What procedures would I need for a subtle yet more suitable nose + more defined jaw + average cost/reco
Rhinoplasty, possibly chin implant
Jan 16, 2015
While your photos are not quite ideal, you certainly would be a great candidate for a rhinoplasty. The goals of which would likely be to narrow the tip and to flatten the roof of your nose, while at the same time probably turning the tip up a bit. A small chin implant is also an option, but a more thorough evaluation (or at least better profile photos) would be necessary. In terms of recovery, I usually like to have patients who travel from some distance around for about a…
Is it common to need a neck and/or face lift after a 200 lb weight loss?
Yes!
Jan 16, 2015
In a relatively younger patient, such as yourself, it is common to have neck skin excess, often out of proportion to facial skin excess. So a necklift (usually part of a lower facelift) is commonly indicated. Most importantly, congratulations on you accomplishment!
