How can I tell if I have pectus excavatum?
Mild pectus
Jun 18, 2015
From your photos it does look like you have a mild degree of pectus excavatum. This does not look significant.
Will my breast get any fuller on the bottom?
Excellent early result
Jun 13, 2015
It is very early in the healing process. Your implants need more time to settle…skin relaxing to accommodate the new beast volume and for the old fold under your breast to stretch. You do not have a double bubble, you are seeing the old fold where you had more breast tissue and skin before surgery on this side. Be patient as things will continue to change over the next few months. Your surgeon did a beautiful job and it should improve with more time. The space…
In relation to my last post. Suspicion that I have CC?
Post surgery breast asymmetry
Feb 20, 2015
It looks like your left breast implant is indeed lower than your right. You should discuss this with your surgeon and wear a good supportive bra in the meantime to prevent this from getting worse. It does not look like capsule contracture. If you have been doing breast implant displacement exercises, you should stop on the left.
Breast implants too high. Do I need to downsize or do I need pocket revision? 9 years post! More deta
Breast revision
Jan 11, 2015
Your question is quite reasonable. It appears that your breast tissue has drooped slightly downward with time since your surgery. The goal you are selecting appears slightly larger than your current breast volume. It seems that you could achieve your goals with a moderate plus style / style 15 smooth round silicone gel filled implant of slightly larger implant volume with a slight lowering of the inframammary fold to tip your nipple position upward. This could give you the…
Will changing one of my implant to a high profile help fix the unevenness?
Uneven breasts
Nov 26, 2014
It is difficult to answer your question accurately from your pictures. A post op photo without the bra would be helpful, but it looks like your breasts were uneven to begin with and the volume of your right breast was greater than your left. Different size Implants of the same style would have improved the symmetry. However, an examination of your breast / chest anatomy could have indicated if two different styles of implant were indicated….the use of two different…
Is subfascial breast augmentation a good option?
Subfascial breast augmentation
Nov 9, 2014
Depending on the final breast shape you are seeking and the size of the implant used, you appear to have perfect anatomy for the Subfascial placement of the implant. It seems that the fascial layer should provide a barrier between the implant and your breast tissue which is thought to lower the incidence of capsule contracture, but this also depends on the skill of the surgeon as the Subfascial technique is more difficult than the submuscular placement. Most of our patients have…
Do “Gummy Bear” implants get softer through the healing and settling process?
Gummy bear implants
Nov 1, 2014
It looks like you have the anatomy to get an excellent result with almost any type of implant. Each type has its pros and cons. Ask your surgeon to show you each so you can feel them before deciding. You will find that the gummy bear implants feel firmer than round (generation 4) implants, but after they are in place, the added firmness is generally imperceptible. There are other issues…cost, incision size, precise pocket placement….discuss these with your…
Asian rhinoplasty: post-implant removal?
Possible rhinoplasty implant removal appearance
Oct 31, 2014
It is difficult to answer your question accurately without a true lateral view of your nose before surgery and knowing where the silicone implant is placed…usually, it is used to give your dorsum more projection and definition. Your result looks quite good. However, I have removed several of these when they have become infected or were “too projecting” and did not look natural. Usually your body makes a scar capsule around the implant and after the implant is removed, the…
Am I at risk for a double bubble deformity?
Risk of double bubble
Oct 30, 2014
Photos of you may be helpful to answer your question more accurately. However, based on your description alone, an expansion of the lower part of your breast tissue may help give you a nicer result with less chance of a double bubble. This may be achieved by using an anatomic shaped implant (gummy bear or Allergan style 410) which will stretch the lower pole where your original fold needs expansion the most. Discuss this with your surgeon.
6 months post op, my left breast is larger than the right. I asked surgeon for bigger implant. Will 3
Asymmetric implants
Oct 23, 2014
A pre op photo would be helpful to advise you, as well as a frontal photo of how you look now…generally, a difference of only 35 cc will only give you a barely detectable added fullness. You should review this with your surgeon.
Will changing from sub muscular to sub glandular correct animation deformity?
Animation deformity
Aug 29, 2014
Pre and post op photos along with a photo of the animation deformity will help to provide an accurate answer. However, a change to sub glandular position is not the best option. A change to the sub fascial position could solve most of your issues if is done by an experienced surgeon and still provide a barrier between the implant and your breast tissue to lower the chance of capsule contracture. Ask to see examples of your surgeon’s patients who have been treated this way.
My nose is too lifted. Can I get a reduction or have it fixed without going through more surgery? (Ph
Early post rhinoplasty appearance
Aug 29, 2014
It will generally take up to a year for you to see the final results of your nose surgery. During that time you will see more drastic changes in the first few weeks to months. It is common for the tip of your nose to look too high at first. I tell my patients not to worry if they resemble “Miss Piggy” as this is temporary and often due to swelling of the tip and just below the nose that makes it look like it was lifted up too much. This will improve with time and…
2 weeks after surgery and my breasts and nipples are numb. Will the feeling come back?
Numbness after breast surgery
Aug 25, 2014
It is very normal to have numbness like you describe this early after surgery. Numbness or even overly sensitive nipples can be caused by stretching or bruising the nerves during surgery (quite common). Be patient as these sensations usually go away after several months as things heal.
Could breast infection with implant reoccur after 2 months?
Possible breast infection
Aug 22, 2014
Based on your history, it would be prudent to have your breast examined by your doctor. It is impossible to say what is going on by your description, but it would be better to be safe as an early infection may be treated without removal of the implant.
Is my pre-op photo asymmetry significant to my post-op photo at 5 weeks post op?
Post op breast asymmetry
Aug 18, 2014
You have an excellent early result…we generally do not take our “after” photos for 9 months as things will continue to change during this healing process…try not to look so closely right now…remember, with breasts we try to get twins but usually get sisters.
