Can I have CoolSculpting or the Venus fat freeze done after a c-section?
Coolsculpting after C-section
Sep 6, 2019
This is a common question that we get at our practice. When it comes to treating over an area where surgery was performed; there is no contraindication unless it was a hernia. If the area that is bothering you is subcutaneous. pinchable fat then it can be treated. Often times, there are fat deposits over the C-section scar and that are difficult to eliminate with diet and exercise alone. The Coolsculpting procedure uses cool (cold) technology to eliminate those fat cells for good…
Can I get rid of lipo fibrosis with CoolSculpting/truSculpt?
Coolscsulpting after liposuction
Sep 6, 2019
Coolsculpting is designed to target fat cells and fat pockets. We have treated many patients who have had some leftover lumps post liposuction with the Coolsculpting machine and have been able to decrease them and in most cases completely eliminate them. As long as it is pinch-able fat and fits into the Coolsculpting applicator, we would be able to properly target those pockets.
Can you have CoolSculpting if you are on statins?
Statins and Coolsculpting
Sep 6, 2019
Coolsculpting is a safe and effective way to eliminate fat pockets in specific areas of the body. The cooling technology is designed to only target fat cells right below the skin. If you have high cholesterol or are taking statins, the Coolsculpting procedure would not affect this at all and you should still be able to achieve amazing results.
I had DVT in my leg twice is it safe for somebody who takes blood thinners regularly?
DVT and Coolsculpting
Sep 6, 2019
This is a very common question that we get asked at our practice. There is no contraindication to treating someone who has had previous DVTs. If you are currently on blood thinners, you may experience temporary bruising that may last longer that someone who is not on blood thinners; however the fat cells would still be affected and you would have beautiful results.
IF you only do CoolSculpting on the lower half of your stomach will it also help the top?
Always treat to complete!
Jul 25, 2019
At our practice we assess the abdomen as a whole. We would never just recommend doing the lower abdomen by itself if there are other areas of opportunity on the top. What you will notice after your Coolsculpting treatment is that the treated areas will be reduced causing the non-treated areas to stick out more to you. It is important what you receive a full assessment of that area and that your practitioner can visualize borders, physically assess the orientation of the fat and pinchability…
CoolSculpting yesterday on inner thighs and was told to avoid green tea for 2 wks. Is this true? It
Green tea after Coolsculpting
Jul 25, 2019
Post treatment, we always recommend avoiding anti-inflammatory medications since the inflammatory response is what drives the amazing results. Green tea has been known for its anti-inflammatory properties according to the Arthritis Foundation due to its polyphenols. If possible, try other teas at this time. The darker the tea, the higher the caffeine content (which does not interfere with your treatment); however I would say avoiding the green tea is not a bad recommendation…
What happens if I do CoolSculpting and then treat over part of the area with Kybella?
Kybella and Coolsculpting combination
Jul 25, 2019
This is a common questions that clients ask; however I would recommend in the future however, to wait to see the final result with CoolSculpting before deciding to get any further treatments. The beauty of Coolsculpting is that sometimes the client gets more than that 20-25% reduction in the treated area as well as some skin improvement; therefore we always want to wait and see what the results are going to be before recommending a complimentary treatment. We know that…
