Do you think I have ptosis? What's causing the eyebrow to go up?
Ptosis and Eybrow Asymmetry
Nov 5, 2016
Thanks for you question. You would need a complete exam to confirm this but it looks like:

1. You have brow asymmetry - left sits higher than the right. I tell patients that asymmetry is the rule rather than the exception as most of us have some degree of asymmetry when it comes to facial features. Once adequately evaluated it can be corrected with either Botox or brow surgery.

2. It appears that you may at least have ptosis on your left side. Although it's...

My ear has split, I don't want to sow it up completely. Can I just reconnect the two sides and conti
Split earlobe correction
Nov 5, 2016
The simple answer is yes you can reconnect to two ends. The caveat is that in order to achieve a strong repair some of the thin and damaged skin at the split site will need to be removed during the repair. You will also need to wait a couple of months before replacing the earlobe gauge. Hope that helps!
Could I have caused damage during nasal irrigation after rhinoplasty?
Damage from nasal irrigation
Sep 30, 2015
At three weeks it would be very unlikely for you to cause any damage - especially from nasal irrigation. It is possible you dislodges a crust or blood clot. If you are concerned I'm sure your rhinoplasty surgeon would be more than willing to take a look at you to make sure everything looks good. Best!
Would you recommend me getting a rhinoplasty?
Would you recommend rhinoplasty
Sep 24, 2015
I think you are a good candidate for rhinoplasty. You have what is referred to as a "tension nose" in which there is overprojection of the tip and crowding of the upper lip due to excess cartilage of the nasal septum. This can be seen mostly from you profile view. You may also benefit from narrowing your tip width a little. If you are seriously considering rhinoplasty I encourage you to see a board certified facial plastic surgeon or plastic surgeon that specializes...
How much will the front view of my face change if I get a Rhinoplasty to remove the hump?
Change in front view after hump removal
Sep 24, 2015
If hump reduction rhinoplasty is done correctly, and assuming nothing else is changed, then the front view should be relatively unchanged. When the hump is removed the nose will initially appear wider but then this is typically corrected with osteotomies to narrow the nose back to normal width. Hope that helps.
How long does it take for you skin to skin wrap if the nose was reduced in size?
How long for skin wrap
Sep 24, 2015
The nose after rhinoplasty can literally continue to change for years after surgery. It depends on many factors such as skin thickness and the degree of cartilage removal that was performed. You may notice some minor refinement over the next several months but I would expect by 4 months postop most of the swelling from surgery should have resolved. I would direct your concern to your surgeon.

low nasal bridge
Sep 24, 2015
I agree with your surgeon as additional osteotomies and attempts to narrow your nose may result in breathing problems. It's possible that an onlay graft may give you the appearance of a more narrow nose from the front view but it also will change things from the profile view as well. If you are considering revision rhinoplasty I would strongly recommend seeing a real expert in the field - good luck!
Still can't breathe right 3 months post rhinoplasty
can't breath after rhinoplasty
Sep 23, 2015
I would definitely keep your follow-up appointment so that your surgeon can evaluate you. In the meantime, you may consider over the counter treatments for nasal congestion such as decongestants, nasal saline, and OTC nasal steroids. Good luck!
How much would it cost on average to fix my bulbous nose? Do you think my nose would be hard to work
bulbous nose
Sep 23, 2015
Nasal tip work is challenging and it is important that if you are interested in corrective surgery you seek consult with a highly qualified surgeon - either a board certified facial plastic surgeon or plastic surgeon that specializes in rhinoplasty. With very round and bulbous nasal tips special maneuvers such as lateral crural strut grafts or lateral crural repositioning may be required to refine the nasal tip. As far as cost, this can vary by region but figure on about...

Lower eye bags
Sep 17, 2015
For permanent removal you would be a candidate for a transconjuntival lower eyelid blepharoplasty. With this procedure the bulging fat is either removed or repositioned through an incision on the inside of the eyelid. I often combine this with filler or fat injections as the fat removal alone does not address the hollowing or volume loss that is also causing the aged appearance of the eye.
What procedure do I need to have done to remove or drastically help with the dark circles/bags under
Lower eyelid dark circles
Sep 17, 2015
You are a great candidate for filler injection to the tear trough region of the lower eyelids. The dark circles are often due to a combination of age related volume loss, skin pigmentation, and vascular congestion (which can fluctuate). Injecting fillers such as Restylane can restore the volume and decrease the dark shadow effect. It is a pretty straightforward office procedure with very little recovery (perhaps minor bruising). Make sure you go to a qualified facial...

Tip Rhinoplasty
Sep 17, 2015
I think you would be a good candidate for a tip rhinoplasty with the main goal being to narrow your tip. Nasal tip surgery is very challenging and I would highly recommend you consult with a board certified facial plastic surgeon or a plastic surgeon that specializes in rhinoplasty. Good luck!
Hard cartilage in middle of nose, looks indented. What is it and can it be fixed?
Hard cartilage in the middle of the nose
Sep 17, 2015
It is difficult to tell what it is from the photos. If it feels firm it could be a small bone spicule which can occur after removing a dorsal hump and/or performing nasal osteotomies to straighten or narrow the nose. These can sometimes be shaved down in the office. Again, it is hard to tell if you have an inverted V deformity from these photos. If you had an aggressive hump removal and the surgeon did not stabilize the middle region of the nose with spreader grafts...
Is my bridge just wide now or is it swelling?
wide bridge after rhinoplasty
Sep 16, 2015
It's a little too early to tell - at least from your photos - does the wide area feel? If it feels soft, it may be persistent swelling. On the other hand if it feels firm, it could be the new bony width. When a hump is removed often the nasal bones are fracture inward otherwise the bridge may appear too wide. This may be what you need but I would discuss it with your surgeon at your next follow-up. Hope that helps
What can I do about my nose and my chin?
Nose and chin options
Sep 15, 2015
First of all, don't be too hard on yourself - you have many attractive facial features! In regards to your nose, you may like a tip rhinoplasty with the goal of narrowing your tip width - the surgeon needs to be cautious not to increase your tip rotation because it is already slightly over-rotated as seen on your profile view. In regards to your chin, I agree that you are a little bit underprojected and may like the results of a chin augmentation. You have some mild...
