2 weeks is an adequate amount of time for basic recovery including resolution of bruising, removal of splints and sutures… however you will likely (depending on the extent of surgery) still have significant swelling 2 weeks after. The summer time will certainly give you a more comfortable amount of recovery time if you are concerned about people knowing that you had surgery.

I would recommend consulting with an oculoplastic surgeon to properly evaluate your concerns and assist you with treatment options. In the mean time, consider using lacrilube at night time which may help with the dryness and help protect your cornea if you do have lagopthalmos (when the eyelid doesn’t close all of the way). I would recommend having an additional consultation with a board certified facial plastic surgeon or plastic surgeon. The neck can be dramatically improved in people with thick skin by addressing not only the subcutaneous fat but also the fat underneath the muscle as well as platysmal muscle tightening.

Short answer: yes, you should see some improvements with a rhinoplasty. You appear to have thick skin which can limit how much tip definition that can be obtained in the tip of your nose. In order to judge if you are a good candidate for alar reduction (and which type), the base of your nose should be evaluated. I would recommend that you have a couple of consultations where you can be evaluated in person and from multiple different angles.

The medial crural footplate can either be removed or medialized if it is obstructing your airway.If it is resulting in assymetry of your tip or ala (nostril), cartilage grafting from your ear or septum can be used to correct it. I would recommend discussing the issue with your surgeon.

There are limited well structured clinical trials regarding the effects of isotretinoin and its effects on wound healing. Significant wound healing problems have not been demonstrated consistently. You have to be much more cautious when considering skin treatment options for darker skin.It is often beneficial to ‘prep’ your skin with retin-A and hydroquinone prior to proceeding with a treatment.I would consider Venu concept nanofractional radiofrequency which as been shown to be safer in patients with darker skin.

If you are cleaning with a cutip inside of your nose, you may be bumping the front of your septum which is a common area of nasal bleeding. I would recommend avoiding the use of cutips for a week and see if that helps.
