One of my upper eyelids is dropping, what is a none invasive treatment option?
Medical Evaluation
Jul 1, 2020
Hi there, sudden unilateral ptosis without any recent clear cause (like Botox) really requires a medical evaluation to workup and medical problems that can cause this. Once your are medically cleared, a facial plastic surgeon or ophthalmologist can help address the asymmetry if it persists. The treatment is called ptosis repair. Unfortunately, there aren’t any good medical treatments for this.
Can I combine Morpheus8 and hyaluronidase?
Both have different uses and are OK
Nov 25, 2019
Thank for your question. While Morpheus has a theoretical risk of increasing the rate that filler is absorbed, it is not used as a substitute for hyaluronidase for HA filler reversal. Morpheus remodels the skin and the subdermal fibroseptal network and can be adjusted to cause lipolysis (kills fat). Depending on where the filler is located, if the treatment is done at the location of the filler it can heat the filler and increase blood flow, thereby further increasing the…
How long after face/neck lift can you do Fraxel laser?
You don’t have to wait
Oct 17, 2019
Thanks for your question! Sounds like you have some exciting plans coming up. In general, it is common to do both laser treatment and a facelift at the same time. The benefits of doing this method is that you only have one recovery for both procedures. Additionally, since you will be numbed up for the facelift, you also will have good anesthesia for the laser portion.
Not all surgeons have the supplies or ability to do both at the same time, but most do and it is a common treatment option….
I would like to Remove the implants and lift as the same time, is that ok?
Yes it’s possible
Sep 22, 2019
Thanks for your question. Yes, you may be able to have both procedures done at the same time. There are some limitations to this, and there are possible challenges as described in other answers. Ultimately, you need an examination and the final plan will depend on the experience and comfort level of the surgeon you use, as well as the specific nuances unique to your case. Warm regards and good luck!
What should I do for my facial sagging after weightloss?
Facial Rejuvenation
Sep 22, 2019
Thanks for your question and congrats on the personal achievement too! Fillers act to conceal the gravitational change that has happened during aging. They do not restore normal anatomic positioning of the facial tissues. Because of this, they can have a wonderful result when used correctly and when used in younger patients. In some cases, they do not give a good result. This usually happens when fillers are used in an effort to conceal significant facial sagging instead of…
I have a shadow hollow nasolabial fold. I want a long lasting treatment. What would you suggest? (Phot
conservative is best
Sep 22, 2019
Thanks for your question. I would really be careful how aggressive you are with your nasolabial fold treatments. Even babies have nasolabial folds and the amount you have appears natural and appropriate. Permanent treatments have the benefit of being long-lasting, but also are not easily reversible, and the quality of the result can decline with time regardless. Deep plane facelift treatments are essentially the best permanent method of addressing the true cause of excessive nasolabial fold…
Should I pursue a lip lift and tip rhinoplasty?
Yes!
Aug 28, 2019
Thanks for your question. Based on your photos and the concerns you describe nasal tip surgery along with a modified lip lift could create a really wonderful aesthetic improvement. These procedures are often performed either in a comfortable office setting using local anesthesia, or sometimes at an outpatient surgery center based on your preferences. Both procedures can safely be done at the same time. Physical examination and review of photo morphing can be very helpful to make sure…
What can I do for early stage eyelid drooping?
Scarless Blepharoplasty
Aug 28, 2019
Thanks for your question. Patients with early aging may not be ready (or need) a regular eyelid surgery that removes skin with a small incision. In these cases, new treatments like AccuTite might work well. AccuTite us a scar-free procedure that tightens the skin without incisions. It cannot create as dramatic of a result as regular surgery, which is why it works well for patients who may not be candidates yet for full surgical blepharoplasty. Other options would be other skin…
Will my lip fillers dissolve or have they been badly done?
They will absorb but you can speed the process if you want
Aug 20, 2019
Thanks for your question. In some cases lips need an improvement in shape instead of volume. When volume is added in these cases, the result can sometimes not be what you expected. If the filler was hyaluronic acid based, it will absorb slowly over the next several months. If you are unhappy with the current appearance, you can always have it corrected or dissolved. Warm regards!
Does rhinoplasty affect a smile crease?
Smile changes after rhinoplasty
Aug 11, 2019
Thanks for your question! The smile crease CAN change if there is significant alteration of the columella (grafting, repositioning etc). However, even in these cases changes are often subtle. If you discuss your rhinoplasty goals and lip goals (no change) with your surgeon, they should be able to get you a nice result without changing your lip contour.
After rhinoplasty, it is common to have mild swelling of your upper lip, so even though your lips will not change, the crease may be…
I want to know if the cafe au lait macule on my forehead is treatable or not?
Cafe au lait spots
Aug 11, 2019
Q-switch is probably the best Tx if the diagnosis is correct. These are difficult to treat and usually require multiple treatments. In some cases, the discoloration returns over time. Excision is usually not a good option due to scarring and distortion.
Will filler in cheekbones give me fuller checks then I already have?
Facial Contouring
Aug 11, 2019
Thanks for your question and photos! While physical exam or additional images would be needed to give a complete plan, here’s a few thoughts. Yes, adding volume will not make your face smaller. Sometimes if improves contour and the improvement in balance is all you need. Lower and mid face fullness has a few treatments. Surgical, microsurgical, and non-surgical. Botox can decrease the masseter muscle mass and have a nice effect. This is temporary. “chipmunk cheeks” can sometimes be…

Facial Contouring
Aug 11, 2019
Hello and thanks for your question and pictures. Great work on your weightloss and quitting smoking! That’s huge! Here’s a few thoughts/facts on the issues you are describing and appear to show on photos.
1. Depending on how recently you underwent weightloss and if your weight is likely to change further in the near future will help guide your treatment decisions. If the weightloss is recent and rapid, it may be best to allow your body to “normalize” to the new you before pursuing…

Rhinoplasty healing
Aug 7, 2019
Thanks for your question. Regardless of the cause, cosmetic nasal changes are not covered by insurance. If you are having difficulty breathing, this can be treated as a medical issue. In most cases, no external appearance change is made when treating nasal obstruction. The dorsal hump, and almost all other aspects of the nose can be treated a variety of ways. These include temporary (like filler), and permanent (open or closed rhinoplasty). Your next step would be to seek consultation with a…
What sort of facelift should I be researching? I’m only 46.
DEEP PLANE FACELIFT
Aug 7, 2019
Great question and, as you can see, you are going to get a big variety of answers. This is really based on the fact that all surgeons are going to answer based on the procedures they personally perform, and their experience of results with those procedures. Without getting too complicated, it has been clearly demonstrated by the scientific literature that a deep plane facelift is equally save as all other methods. The advantage of this method (when it is done correctly) is that it’s really…
