What’s the Georgia legal maximum of cc’s that can be removed and injected during a BBL?
BBL law?
May 20, 2017
Hi. There is no law. You are relying solely on you plastic surgeon’s knowledge and judgment to keep you safe. There is actually no law that says the procedure has to be performed by a trained plastic surgeon- so be careful. You need to look for a board certified (American Board of Plastic Surgery) plastic surgeon.
4-5 Liters of lipoaspirate (the stuff that is liposuctioned out) is the maximum that is safe for outpatient surgery. You can do more, but you need to be…
Will my breast augmentation scar heal properly?
Scars
May 15, 2017
Thank you for the question.
From your history, it sounds like you have a tendency to make thickened scars. Because of this you have a higher likelihood of not having a thin linear scar- although the location on the breast and great closure helps minimize the risk.
For sure, your scar will change with time. You have the chance to change the way the scar heals over the next year. It is very important to follow up with your PS so they can guide your…
Would I be a good candidate for a tummy tuck with muscle repair?
Tummy tuck
May 13, 2017
Congratulations on the weight loss. That is hard.
You want to be be near your goal weight for best results.
You are a great candidate for a tummy tuck. Realistically, you can’t expect the exact body you had before kids. You may not get a washboard abdomen, however it will be much improved.
6 weeks post-op: am I bottoming out or is this normal?
Bottoming out
May 13, 2017
Thanks for the question. Without a good before photo it is a little difficult to tell if the implant has lowered on that side, or if you were already lower on that side before surgery. Most often, people are asymmetric prior to surgery, but they just don’t notice it.
The implant will stretch the bottom of the breast over time (aka “drop”). This can take a long time- up to one year or more. If it bothers yous now, it is unlikely to get better as you would expect the…
I was wondering how much the cost of a mommy makeover cost in Atlanta?
Mommy makeover
Apr 12, 2017
Thanks for question. The cost really depends on what needs to be done to meet your goals. Many procedures like liposuction, tummy tuck, breast lift and breast augmentation are often combined in one procedure to correct the changes in your body that you see after pregnancy. All things being equal, the cost may vary a little depending on the surgeon. I would recommend basing your decision on credentials (board certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery),…
Should I get a boob job and BBL? I have lost weight and I don’t think it’s coming back.
Weight loss can cause skin to loose elasticity
Mar 7, 2017
If you have lost a significant amount of weight, be careful about having the same expectations for surgery. With weight loss the skin can loose elasticity and certain operations that do not remove skin can lead to disappointing results if the weight loss if significant. Make sure to ask about this during your consultation so your PS can assess for you.
Breast Augmentation Recovery: What Can I Expect?
Recovery after breast augmentation
Mar 6, 2017
It’s hard to determine exactly what your experience will be like, because there are so many factors that influence your recovery. Incision placement, sub muscular placement, size of the implant, your general pain experience (and among other things) will affect your outcome. Very generally speaking, people take pain medication of some sort (narcotic and/or ibuprofen) for about a week. Return to work really depends on your job: Demanding physical labor is not wise for…
I Believe I Have a Double Bubble 3 Weeks Post-Op Breast Implants, How Can I Tell for Sure
Double bubble
Mar 6, 2017
It does appear that you have a double bubble on the right. I know this can be concerning, but it is a common problem after augmentation that your PS knows how to treat. Right now, you just need to wait while the tissues heal and make sure to follow up with your PS and keep good communication going.
Are my Breast Too Low 3 Weeks Post Op?
Bottom out and massage
Mar 6, 2017
I would make sure your PS wants you to massage the implants. Some may not.
After placing implants below the muscle, they often look high and take time to settle (2-3 months).
I’m sure your PS can follow along with you and make sure you get the results you want.
3 weeks post-op for a breast augmentation, will my breasts soften?
Changes after breast augmentation
Mar 6, 2017
The answer is yes… definitlely. Right now the tissue around the implant feels tight, but over the next few months this will change. The breast implant itself does not change, but your skin, breast tissue and muscle will soften and change to accommodate the newly added volume.
You will see changes over the next 3 months, and to a smaller degree over the next year. So make sure to follow up with your PS so they can track your progress.
How long should I wait before getting concerned with a post-surgical result for breast au
Wait a while longer, things will change.
Mar 4, 2017
You need to wait at least 3-6 months. You may see changes even after that time period. The appearance of the breast will continue to change with time. In this period of time, it is important to follow up with your PS so they can keep track of the progress. Open communication of your concerns and follow up is best for your right now.

Removing implants will make you breasts look different in the upper pole
Nov 16, 2016
Removing your breast implants will change how full your breast are in the upper part of your breast. Not a bad thing, but different. You may be able to recreate that amount of upper pole fullness (~cleavage) by wearing a bra, but will not have the same fullness without a bra or clothes.

If you look at your photos in a side view, you can see that the slope of the breast is not straight, there is an outward curve- that is the fullness created by an implant. After removing the…

Give it some time
Nov 13, 2016
The old implants most likely have caused that area (the indentation shown in your pics) of your natural breast tissue to thin, which happens with all implants to some degree. This can be more pronounced after removal of submammary (above the muscle) implants or if they were large implants. With a few months time that area will likely change and get better. If it doesn’t improve enough, you may consider fat grafting after talking with your PS. Make sure you see…
Are there skilled en bloc explant surgeons in CA?
en bloc removal of implants
Nov 18, 2015
There are many skilled plastic surgeons in California… most of all make sure your plastic surgeon is board certified by The American Board of Plastic Surgery. This certification is important and verifies a surgeon’s training and education. Any surgeon certified by this board is very capable of helping you.
Explantation and lump removal. Do I need 2 operations with different specialized dcctors?
implants and breast lump
Nov 17, 2015
You need to see a board certified plastic surgeon, they can make that decision after doing a physical exam and possibly imaging. It may be possible for one surgeon to do the procedure, however that all depends on the physical exam findings and any imaging.
