More than likely this is just swelling which will subside in the next 6-12 weeks. Your rhinoplasty specialist would show you how to massage the area and will inform you if they placed grafts in the region which leads to swelling. In either case be patient as the full rhinoplasty results are not visible for up to two years after surgery. Hope this is helpful.

Unfortunately this is more than likely means that the original septal deviation was not correctly treated, its not uncommon to see this problem as septal correction and reconstructions remain largely poorly performed by the non expert occasional surgeon rather than a rhinoplasty specialist. Its quite normal to have this problem for up to 10-14 days after sinus, nose, and rhinoplasty surgery. Try spraying decongestants in the nose (read the bottle for instructions and check with the operative surgeon), try warm salt water rinses and resting. Also do not take anti-inflammatory pain medications as they cause constant oozing of blood post nose surgery. Hope this is helpful.
