Pulse Dye Laser for Scar?
Pulsed Dye Laser is a great treatment for scars
Jan 4, 2013
You may have persistent redness for 6 weeks after Pulsed Dye Laser treatment, especially on the lower legs which are generally slower to heal than other body sites. PDL works by injuring the blood vessels and can cause temporary bruising and redness. However, PDL used aggressively is a powerful tool. Be sure you are seeing a board-certified dermatologist or plastic surgeon with extensive laser training and contact them with any issues you are having over unexpected post-laser…
Once You Get Botox, Will It Make Your Wrinkles Worse if You Don’t Keep Going Once It Wears O
Doing Botox in your younger years is smart
Nov 13, 2012
If you stop getting Botox, the repetitive creasing from muscle activity will allow wrinkles to form. But they won’t be worse! If you already have wrinkles at rest, yes, you need to keep getting Botox so that the creased in line has time to fade. A common complaint of people who have wrinkles at rest is that Botox didn’t work–this is a misconception, as Botox keeps you from creating the wrinkle, but once the wrinkle is creased into your skin, it will take both Botox and time (and skin care)…
Can I Expect to See Results from Liposonix if I’m 30 Pounds over Weight?
Liposonix is best for patients with BMI less than 30
Mar 16, 2012
Liposonix patients generally experience an inch of waistline reduction, but they do not lose weight. The best results are seen in those people with a body mass index less than 30.
Corner of Smile Turns Down After Botox for Mouth Frown, What’s The Cause?
Botox in the lower face is complicated
Mar 15, 2012
The facial musculature is very complex in the perioral region, with many small muscles that pull up, down, and outward. Be sure your injector has been trained specifically in facial anatomy and physiology. You need to see a medical doctor who is board certified in a facial subspecialty (plastic surgeon or dermatologist). It can take up to 2 weeks for Botox to achieve its final result, so some of your asymmetry may improve or resolve by then, but it sounds like you may have had some…
Will Fraxel Help Minimize (If Not Remove) Mild to Moderate White Stretch Marks on my Buttock
Fraxel will improve both red and white stretch marks
Mar 14, 2012
Fraxel can improve the appearance of stretch marks but cannot completely eliminate them. You can expect a moderate (usually about 40%) improvement with a series of several Fraxel treatments.
How Does Diet and Exercise Fit in with Liposonix Results?
Liposonix permanently removes a layer of fat
Mar 14, 2012
During your Liposonix treatment, fat cells are permanently damaged and those fat cells will be cleared by your body over the next 2-3 months, usually resulting in about an inch of waistline reduction. The fat cell damage is achieved during the treatment, and further fat loss from diet and exercise will be in addition to the Liposonix results.
What Do You Suggest For Immediate Post Restylane Care? Had Injections Under Eyes/
Laser can reduce post injection bruising
Mar 14, 2012
Don't massage, you could potentially move the product. I have been very happy with the use of PDL (pulsed-dye laser) for post-injection bruising. The laser doesn't erase the bruise but it helps it fade more quickly.
