Can I Have a Tummy Tuck at the same time with Peritoneal dialysis and Butt Lift?
Periotoneal dialysis and tummy tuck
Jan 19, 2015
Despite the fact that we would all like to make every one as happy as possible and offer our services to everyone, due to your medical issues the surgeries you are requesting are unable to be performed for you.
I’m 7 weeks post op. Do I still need to wear a sports bra?
Sports bra post opertive
Jan 19, 2015
In my practice the time required to wear a sports bra varies per patient. It is used mainly as a transition mechanism between your old bra size and your new bra size. The sports bras are used to allow for the edema to subside in your soft tissue and thus be able to determine what your new bra size is will be. As always ask your surgeon what his/her opinion is.
Are my breasts going to come down anymore?
Will your implants drop?
Dec 4, 2014
Jody,I agree with all the other statements. If this was a recent post op picture(<6 weeks), I would recommend that you wait. However, 3 months post op it is unlikely that they will continue to drop anymore. As always an exam is really necessary to determine the source of your implants remaining elevated. There are several reasons as to why this is happening and I would recommend you see your surgeon for an evaluation.
This will be my first-breast augmentation. What are the complication rates are?
Breast augmentation complications
Jul 12, 2014
Dr. Seckel gave a great answer but I would like to add that all those percentages increase in if you are a smoker.
Having a breast augmentation in Mexico? Good or bad idea?
Surgery in Mexico.
Apr 27, 2014
Well there are many good surgeons in Mexico, and one can’t disparage surgery abroad in general. However, you need to understand that with any surgery there are complications and most importantly adequate post operative follow up. I feel that when you have surgery your surgeon should be available to you at all times in your post operative period. The entire healing process can take up to 6 months and you should have significant follow up after your surgery. So, no,…
Can I get rid of this hump on my nose with pressure?
Hump on nose
Apr 27, 2014
As other surgeons have already answered pressure will not get rid of the hump, however, too much pressure can cause damage to the skin.
Thick incision scar after breast aug. Will it fade?
Thick scars
Apr 7, 2014
Each surgeon has his/her own protocol to treat scars. It is only 3 weeks post op and they will change markedly over the next 6 months to a year. Discuss your post op scar care with your surgeon.
Will textured implants prevent breasts from moving outward over time? MP or HP best for far apart brea
Textured breast implants move the less than smooth implants
Apr 6, 2014
I agree with all the answers just wanted to add that it is very important that the surgeon limit his lateral dissection, this will also diminish the chance that the implnat displaces lateraly.
Border of original areola left over after breast lift. What is the cost to have this fixed?
Border of original areola left over
Mar 2, 2014
Revision policies vary amongst physicians. I would recommend you see your original surgeon and ask him/her. I’m sure they would be happy to discuss that with you.
Where in the US can I get my BA done by a board certified Surgeon for $5000 or less? ND, MT etc (Photo
Breast augmentation for less than 5000
Mar 2, 2014
Miss/Mrs. This is a slippery slope as you need to be careful about “paying less” for a procedure. There are fly by night aesthetic clinics that will charge you less but not do the procedure that is to your benefit. From the picture it is very difficult to asses your overall appearance, and thus to determine whether all you require is a breast augmentation or a combination augmentation and breast lift. I suggest you try several board certified physicians in your…
Implants malposition or capsule contracture?
breast malposition
Mar 2, 2014
It does appear that the right breast in the medial portion has a capsular contracture or a malpositioning. As always please see your surgeon and voice your concerns to him/her.
2 weeks post op. What can I do to make my breasts even?
2 weeks post op
Mar 2, 2014
The answer to your question is to have patience. Wait, the implants will settle and everything should continue to heal over the next months. As always consult your surgeon as he/she will have instructions they will want you to follow.
Silicone or Gummy Bear breast implants for a patient under 22 years old?
Silicone or Gummy Bear breast implants
Mar 1, 2014
Paige,The use of “gummy bear implants” or silicone implants in patients under 22 years of age in the US is currently not allowed. The age of 22 was picked arbitrarily and done because of political reasons. There is a loop hole in the rule which states that if you are fixing an asymmetry or a deformity you may use these implants in younger patients. I have only used them in patients that had tubular breasts deformity and or marked asymmetry in their appearance.
What is the likelihood that I will be able to go to a concert 1 week after surgery? Will my mobility l
likelihood that I will be able to go to a concert 1 week after surgery
Feb 28, 2014
As you know pain is very subjective. Some people tolerate pain better than others injure her ability to attend his concert will depend highly on how you tolerate the discomfort that will follow your postoperative period. I personally tell my patients that the majority of them will not want to do much for the first week postoperatively. However you are in getting implants are very large and discomfort should not be extensive. Just please do not mix alcohol consumption with your narcotic use….
Are there any surgeons who are willing to fix a deflated breast aug pro bono or at a greatly reduced r
pro bono or at a greatly reduced rate
Feb 28, 2014
Laura,The majority of physicians do some pro bono and or surgery at a reduced rate. This all depends on the patient need. You need to understand that the fees that are reduced are the surgical fees. However there are incurred expenses that need to be covered. These usually include the operating room fees, anesthesia fees, and the needed equipment for her surgical procedure. I would visit multiple surgeons in the community and see what some of them would be willing to assist you with.
