1. Swelling and bruising around the nose and/or around the eye(s).
2. Possible nose bleed.
3. New nasal deviation/asymmetry after swelling has subsided ( a change in shape may not be present if the fracture is not displaced).
4. An X ray or CT scan showing a nasal fracture.

It depends on how wide to dorsum was prior to dorsal hump reduction. Patients with a wide dorsum (bridge) will have narrower noses following dorsal hump reduction, spreader graft placement and nasal bone narrowing via osteotomies.

Dear MsopYour symptom maybe due to postoperative bleeding (or hematoma). I recommend that you see your surgeon who would diagnose and treat this condition. Soma is a muscle relaxant that is used by some plastic surgeons after breast augmentation. Soma does not prevent postoperative bleeding or swelling.
