Treatment with fractional lasers have provided wonderful results for scars especially for the type you are describing. It does take several treatments and prices vary based on your location. The sciton profractional laser is a great laser that I use on all types of scars such as chicken pox, acne and surgical. It does not matter that this is a childhood scar. Make sure you see a board certified physician for treatment. Good luck!
