Your body is looking for more space underneath the muscle. This can happen if you gain a little weight after a tummy tuck and can respond to diet and exercise. A revision of this sort is very involved, basically requiring a second tummy tuck. My advice would be to first try a "liver shrinking diet" and see if you get any response. Good luck!

A tummy tuck will not prevent you from getting pregnant, but you may experience some increase in your skin or bulging of the abdomen after getting pregnant. If you have excess skin that is preventing you from being comfortable and living the life you want, my opinion would be for you to get rid of that excess skin. Good luck!

Congratulations on your weight loss! When people lose lots of weight they are often burdened by excess skin around their waist and torso. Looking at the pictures supplied and your goals you should consider:
1. Extended tummy tuck vs lower body lift2. Breast lift with implants or fat transfer3. Upper back lift (if the back rolls bother you)

Yes! You can get a tummy tuck with a gallbladder scar like you have. However, it is worth noting a few things:1. Cuts change the blood supply of your abdomen. Blood supply is crucial to healing. Abdominal tightening really can only be done with full access to the abdominal wall. You dont need to remove skin but the tummy tuck would have to be redone. Upper abdomen tightening can sometimes be limited by the ribs and liver.
Sometimes, liposuction can be done on the outside to drop the belly down further.

This looks to be a very early postop picture.As time moves forward, your body will start to form the scar tissue that will create the lasting result of your surgery. This takes 3-6 months. Follow up with your surgeon and understand that ALL healing occurs after you leave the OR. To me, it looks like he/she did a good job.

Hi,for most plastic surgeons, the line between a mini tummy tuck and a full is whether or not a diastasis needs addressing. A mini tummy tuck removes excess skin below the belly button. A standard tummy tuck removes excess skin below belly button and addresses the diastasis to the level of the xiphoid. It looks like you have a diastasis and therefore a full tummy tuck would be more beneficial.

It depends on how much your skin has stretched and how much elasticity is in your skin. The only way to tell that would be to get evaluated by a plastic surgeon. The bigger the volume change the more likely a lift will be necessary

I always say you dont NEED anything- it is cosmetic surgery! I think with adequate implant volume you will not need a lift. One thing that is irreversible is a scar, so I choose to do them only when I feel there is no other option. Get full profile implants and you should fill it. Will you benefit from a lift if you get pregnant and breast feed? Probably. But you might need one even if you went all in right now anyway. Save the $ avoid the scars and get the implants

When in doubt the answer is lift. Without a lift, if you have some breast tissue, it will start to fall over the top of the implant which leads to a "snoopy deformity" or waterfall. Pictures can be deceiving and I havent seen enough to make an informed decision, but for ideal results really all forms of lift should be considered, not just periareolar

Every case is unique, but I would be careful. When you go to a surgeon, be sure you are going to a board certified plastic surgeon as they will be familiar with spina bifida. I would actually quiz the doctor on the condition at the time of consultation to make sure they have an understanding. I would suspect that the surgery can be done but it will need to be modified to prevent any issues with your spina bifida. Do not choose a surgeon that brushes it off like nothing. Good luck!

A sliding genioplasty works well, but I am not sure you need it. I use them for patients with severe retrognathia. For most people, however, I believe silicone implants are a better option (and I am a jaw surgeon). Reason being is pain, swelling, and recovery is significantly better, and the surgery is easily paired with the surgeries you would already like to have.
I also believe it is much better to plan both operations at the same time. These are designed to bring your face into harmony...

Hi,
When a tummy tuck is performed, all the extra skin is removed. The exact amount depends on your individual body and the techniques used. Most times, all skin above the belly button is kept. Therefore, whatever stretch marks you have above your belly button will still be there, but they will be in a much lower position. For instance, the skin that is right now above your belly button will now be right above your vagina. I hope that helps!

you have 3 options in my mind:1. tummy tuck with a lift of your belly button, removal of some skin and tightening of your abs all the way to the ribs.2. Mini tummy tuck with tightening below the belly button and lipo3. lipo with skin tightening.
Since you are a pilates instructor and do not want much downtime, I would gravitate toward option 3 because the top 2, where muscle is tightened, will require you to abstain from heavy core and stretches for 3 months.
