How to examine damages after endoscopic brow-lift?
Nerve damage
Mar 17, 2017
To assess for frontal nerve damage after a brow lift, simply lift your eyebrows. They should move up and down, if not there may be temporary paralysis. This can take some time after a procedure to resolve.
Note also if there is Botox in your forehead the frontal branch of the facial nerve is not necessarily damaged. It may just be the Botox
What treatment would be best for me. I’m 35 with under eye wrinkles.
Few options
Mar 13, 2017
First off, always make sure allergic issues are not adding to the appearance. Simple use of an intranasal steroid spray can eliminate some puffiness.

You can try a unit or two of Botox under the eye as well

Chemical or laser peel is an option

Lastly, a small skin pinch and removal of a portion of the lower eyelid fat pad are surgical treatments

Hope this was helpful!

I am nearly 4 months post op following rhinoplasty; would you say it is normal for my tip to be this
Give it time
Mar 4, 2017
Believe it or not…the nasal tip swelling takes the longest to heal. You look at your nose daily in the mirror so can’t really see the subtle minute changes although at one year from the procedure the pre and post op differences will be apparent.
Want a 3rd nose job but 10,700 – fix with my boobs now or wait until another facial procedure later?
I understand your frustrations
Feb 27, 2017
Sorry to hear of your dilemma.
I see from your photos what your describing. You can deproject the nose through a few different methods. However the cartilage has memory which means it may warp after the procedure no matter how straight a surgeon makes it.
Check out the internet for a few techniques described. One is a medial crural set back. The other is vertical dome divisions. Also take a look at the Anderson tripod theory. It will really…

Feb 27, 2017
A photo may help to get a better idea of the asymmetry. Quick note, if it is only a few millimeters, you can inject a few units of Botox under the brow that is lower and the several units can improve on brow assymetey
Nasal valve collapse, chronic congestion but not a good candidate for primary functional or aestheti
nasal valve collapse
Feb 20, 2017
One option to consider surgically to improve on the nasal valve collapse is consider an alar batten graft

This will widen the nostril inlet improving breathing function as well as the aesthetic appearance

While every surgeon/doctor is entitled to their own appearance i believe you can see improvements in all of your nasal concerns with a functional rhinoplasty

I’m having trouble breathing through my left nostril. It appears that my nose is crooked. What do I
2 issues
Feb 18, 2017
First off, was there ever any trauma to your nose? A break, sports or fight?

Two things to note:
1) from a functional standpoint, you can fix the nasal septum and shrink the turbinates inside your nose. This will get you breathing better while not altering the external appearance at all.

2) the cosmetic appearance of your nose, to fix this you would need to reset the nasal bones by performing osteotomies, this will help straighten the nose’s external appearance

Hope this…

What are these notches under my nostrils after rhinoplasty? Will they go away or are they easy or ha
Those notches
Feb 10, 2017
There are anatomical units of the nose, the area your concerned of is around the region of the soft tissue triangular facets.
There is going to be some swelling present in your nasal tip for up to one years. These prominences will soften. Not to worry
Is it possible to make the nasal tip less pointy and protruding with little to no alteration to the
There are options
Jan 21, 2017
Yes the nasal tip can be altered to appear less pointy.
The cartilage can be altered/cut/shaved and a graft from the ear cartilage or other material can than be placed leading to a softer, rounder appearance
I’m trying to figure out whether I should go with a filler for my undereyes or consider surgery? (ph
Do you have allergies?
Jan 19, 2017
From the look of this photo, it appears like you have some symptoms of allergies, “allergic shiners”.
If this is the case, you should try a nasal steroid spray, like Flonase. It is over the counter and actually reduces allergic symptoms caused by common seasonal allergens. The darkening under your eyes may actually be improved. This may be an easy, affordable way to reduce your concerns without needing any type of invasive procedure
Ethnic Rhinoplasty… Why do results take longer?
Give it time
Jan 14, 2017
Allow for a full year before considering any type of revision procedure.

Ethnic rhinoplasties are themselves intricate and delicate procedures. By attempting too many alterations at one time or in succession can do more harm than good

From the front, you can look right into my nostrils. Is it possible to make them face down?
Tripod theory
Jan 14, 2017
Seems like you have been doing some diligent research.

Google nasal tripod theory and it will give you a good conceptualization of how the nostrils, rotation and projection all factor into the nasal appearance

There are techniques to de-rotate the nose, yet rhinoplasties are a series of checks and balances. Meaning altering one characteristic will have an affect on the others.

Hope this is helpful

Nose slightly crooked after male rhinoplasty. Is it worth it to get another one?
Give it time
Jan 13, 2017
As a firm rule, always allow for one year prior to considering any type of revision surgery.

From your description, the nasal tip may still be swollen which could be contributing to increased rotation.

The nose’s cartilage has memory, which means even if the surgeon straightened your nasal appearance, the tissue can divert back to its original contours.

Give it some more time prior to jumping into any revision surgeries. Remember the enemy of good often times is…

I got my rhinoplasty 6 weeks ago. Is there anything I can do to help under eye bruising?
Any seasonal allergies?
Jan 13, 2017
If it is simply residual bruising, just give it some time. If however, you suffer from seasonal allergies or allergic rhinitis, this may be contributing to the darkness and puffiness under the eyes.

Some saline nasal irrigations and an over the counter nasal spray like Flonase can be beneficial for allergic symptom relief

I have goretex implant to my nose in about 1 and half years..
Visit your surgeon
Jan 13, 2017
I’m sure this can be unsettling to you. There is a small risk of extrusion, where the implanted material works its way through the skin. A short visit to your surgeon along with an examination can set your mind at ease as well as makes sure no intervention is required
