Botox for Sweating - Can Anyone Get Botox for Sweating?
Botox works like a charm for underarm sweating
May 3, 2011
I tell patients that using botox for underarm sweating is like turning off the faucet. You won't sweat 4-6 months so I suggest you have it in the early spring and it will last until late summer.  For hyperhidrosis under the arms, botox is a huge home run!
Lips drooping after Restylane
Fix this Restylane problem with Hyaluronidase
Jun 24, 2010
It is so important when injecting fillers into the lips to get the product in evenly and symmetric. If you had a dental block before the procedure this can make it harder to get that nice even look.  Have the doctor who injected you dissolve the Restylane with a little hyaluronidase. Your lips will swell after the hyaluronidase injections but in a couple days you will notice your bulging uneven lips disappear.
Immune to Botox?
Botox does not work for everyone
Jun 23, 2010
Sorry to say it but you are one of the unlucky ones.  I have had only a couple patients over the years who got absolutely no effect with Botox injections. I am not sure why this happens, but it does happen. Try a filler. They work great for treating the frown lines and last even longer than Botox.  Good luck!
Will insurance cover my Botox injections?
Don't waste your time filling for insurance on Botox
Jun 23, 2010
Sorry, but I suspect your insurance company will tell you that's a big fat no.  There are medical uses for Botox but treating frown lines will surely be deemed cosmetic by your insurance company.
Botox cream that works on wrinkles?
Stay tuned for topical botox!
Jun 23, 2010
We are excited that there appears to be some very promising data on a topical formulation of Botox.  The first study published used this product to effectively treat underarm sweating. I am sure that the company who holds the patent on the product will be looking at it's cosmetic applications as well.  Can you imaging getting all the benefits of Botox without the needle stick?  That will be nothing short of amazing. Stay tuned!
Are large blisters common after laser therapy?
Blisters after laser need treatment
Jun 23, 2010
First of all, throw away the neosporin.  The neomycin in this product causes terrible allergic reactions including blisters and may be making things worse. A few blisters or crusts after laser hair removal does happen from time to time but what you are describing sounds far more worrisome to me. I suggest you go back to see the physician in the office where you were treated.
Best Sclerotherapy solution?
The newest sclerotherapy solution, polidecanol, has just been FDA approved!
Jun 23, 2010
For years, we have been waiting for the FDA to approve the sclerosant polidecanol. It has been used in Europe for many years and is a favorite there because it is painless when injected, works well and has an excellent safety profile. Polidecanol just received FDA approval and should be available in the U.S. soon.  As for sclerotherapy in general, this is one procedure that is very technique dependent and in the end your results are probably more dependent on the skill of the...
