Thank you for the great question. Nostril shape can be changed in a variety of ways during rhinoplasty. This is accomplished by changing the shape and position of the tip cartilages, and/or modification of the nostril rim skin/fibrous tissues. Thank you for the question. This is a complex issue and should be discussed with your oral surgeon to determine the best timing for a rhinoplasty. It is possible to move the tip of the nose downward using an open rhinoplasty technique with structural grafting.
