I applied 17% Salicylic acid wart remover on Pimples. It turned my skin into dark black burned spo
Post Inflammatory Hyperpigmentation
Oct 3, 2023
Hello! It looks like the wart remover caused a chemical burn leaving some post inflammatory hyperpigmentation. I would suggest using a petroleum gel like Vasoline or Aquaphor until it heals. It is possible that a dark spot will remain so I would suggest using a product with hydroquinone or kojic acid to help lighten any hyperpigmentaion left behind after it heals. We hope this helps!
Will fillers dry out my already dry lips?
Lip Filler
Sep 11, 2023
Hi there! Adding filler to the lips will definitely add some moisture while also filling in some of the lines. The substance that makes up filler (hyaluronic acid) will actually absorb water and hold it there creating more hydration and fullness to the area. We hope this helps!
Recent fillers…migration?
Filler Migration
Sep 11, 2023
Hello! Filler migration has been reported, especially in the lips and it does look like you had some migration. Unfortunately there isn't much you can do to prevent it from happening, but you can always get hyaluronidase injections to remove the filler where it has migrated. Using a thinner filler can also help with preventing migration. We hope this helps!
Applying Retinal cream right after microneedling in the office, followed by chemical sunscreen
Retinol after Microneedling
May 23, 2023
Hi there! We recommend waiting at least 48 hours before resuming a topical retinol or vitamin c serum. I'm sure the doctor thought applying the retinol afterwards would help the product penetrate deeper, but in my opinion this may cause additional irritation. We usually apply a hyaluronic acid serum to soothe and hydrate the skin post microneedling. We also only use a mineral sunscreen post microneedling as a chemical sunscreen can cause irritation and redness. We recommend avoiding any...
How to treat Congenital and Dermal Pigmentation for FP 3-4?
Treating Congenital and Dermal Pigmentation
May 23, 2023
Hi there! Acanathosis Nigricans may occur with diabetes or PCOS. It may occur in people who take birth control or systemic steroids or are obese. You can always try using a stronger HQ like 4-5% and a stronger topical retinoid. There is a long-pulsed Alexandrite laser that is safe for darker skin complexions that you can also try! I suggest starting with stronger topicals first before proceeding with laser treatments. We hope this helps!
Are chemical peels considered skin bleaching? What are the short and long-term side effects?
Chemical Peels
May 23, 2023
Hi there! Chemical peels do not bleach the skin. They work deeper into the skin to pull up hyperpigmentation and it removes dead skin cells only. After the peel you will be left with a brighter, more even skin tone! Getting a chemical peel that contains salicylic acid will help in reducing/ removing blackheads. You can also get the blackheads extracted prior to getting the peel done for a better result. We hope this helps!
Is Microdermasmbrasion safe for the nose area with a nasal silicone implant?
Is Microdermabrasion safe with silicon implant?
May 23, 2023
Hi there! Since microdermabrasion is targeting and treating the surface of your skin it shouldn't interfere with the implant. I would advise consulting with your treatment provider to ensure that it won't interfere but there should be no issue!
