The age old question!   It all depends what your goals are and how much surgery you’re willing to undergo.  If the goal is for a mild to moderate improvement then go with lipo.  If the goal is to get the best possible result, then go with a tummy tuck.  True, the tummy tuck is a more involved procedure with longer downtime, however, it is very safe when performed on the right patient and the results are usually very significant.  I suggest going in for a few consultations with plastic surge…

The short answer is maybe.  There are pros and cons with doing these two procedures at the same time.  The only way to really get a good idea of what the right decision is for you is to go in for a few consultations and see what the various opinions are.  Once you find a surgeon you like and have verified their credentials, then you’ll be confident you made the right choice.  Good luck!

Probably not.  You will have a few small scars from the laparoscopic access sites but the actual surgery should not affect your liposuction results.  Laparoscopic surgery is generally performed within the abdomen and liposuction is performed by removing fat outside of the abdomen (above the abdominal wall).  Good luck!

I would encourage you to find someone local. There are many qualified surgeons who regularly perform these procedures. While it may be more expensive compared to the DR, should you have any issues that arise postop, your choices are to return to your original surgeon in the DR or find a local surgeon. Both of those options can be very expensive.

Congratulations on the triplets!  Looking at your pictures it seems like you would benefit from a tummy tuck and umbilical hernia repair. The scar can be kept low.  Tummy tuck patients such as yourself you have a large muscle separation and excess skin in the absence of fatty tissue get the best results.  If/when you decide to proceed with surgery, I believe you will be very happy.

I usually tell patients to wait just enough time to allow for most of the healing to be done prior to proceeding with another procedure. The reason being that if any small revisions or in your case more fat needs to be transferred, this can be done at the time of the second procedure. If you have the second procedure too soon then this opportunity to “tweak” the first area isn’t possible.

You appear to be an excellent candidate for this procedure. As long as you are healthy and have no medical issues regarding your eyes, there’s no reason why you would not get an excellent result. The scar right under the eyelashes (subciliary) heals very well and as you stated this approach can be done while you’re awake.

The short answer is no. It all depends on your overall health status and whether or not you are a good candidate for the desired procedure. If you are healthy and have loose abdominal skin then you’re an excellent candidate for a tummy tuck!

Sounds like you’re ahead of the game. Cosmetic surgery requires patients to be “optimized” as much as possible. That means all of your medical problems are being treated by the appropriate specialist.  It also requires your surgeon and specialist and/or primary care doctor agree that it’s safe to proceed with surgery. Having surgery in the hospital may or may not be necessary. That depends on whatever you and your surgeon decide. Good luck!

Sounds like you’re the perfect candidate for a tummy tuck.  The two main goals of this operation are to remove excess skin of the abdomen and to tighten the abdominal wall.  The best results are with patients who are close to or at their ideal body weight.  I would recommend going in for a consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon who specializes in body contouring surgery.

Are difficult to treat.  Oftentimes, the best option is surgical revision with postoperative radiation therapy.  The radiation significantly reduces the chances of recurrence.

It all depends on the overlying skin.  If the skin quality is good and elastic with little to no stretch marks then liposuction works very well.  CoolSculpting can work, however, the results are never as impressive as those obtained with liposuction.  For patients with skin laxity in addition to subcutaneous fat, the best option is tummy tuck.

There are generally 3 ways to address hollowness of the lower eyelids. First is to have surgery (usually under IV sedation). Second is to have fillers which usually lasts about 6 months. Third is to have a fat transfer which can last for several years but may need to be repeated after 4-6 months in order to get the correct amount of fat to survive. Best option is to go in for a consultation. Good luck!
What’s the difference between a tummy tuck and an extended tummy tuck?

Not much. An extended tummy tuck just means that the surgeon is carrying the incision a bit further (wider) than usual due to redundant skin of the flank (love handles). In short, it just means the scar is longer.

The short answer is no. Most plastic surgeons will want you to have normal blood pressure before you undergo just about any cosmetic procedure. Safety is paramount and it doesn’t make sense to proceed with an elective procedure if you know you have a correctable medical problem prior to surgery.
