Doctor's answers
May 9, 2019
This is a difficult question to answer as you are pretty much asking for someone to predict whether or not you are going to be happy with a result. However to answer your question simply and based on the pictures, I don't think you will be satisfied with the largest size perma lip implant of 5mm if you think your 2ml of Restylane you got are not enough. I was one of the first surgeons in the nation to do the lip implants and have done hundreds of them and I would recommend to you to stay...

Lip filler injection is an art and there are many ways to correct mistakes by either adding filler or subtracting filler (with hyaluronidase). It depends on the artistic eyes and abilities of the injector and of course experience. Anything can be done in the right hands. Typically it should be done right the first time, but minor corrections can be necessary depending on the experience of the injector.

No, it is not likely that you hurt anything.
However I would check with my surgeon to be in the safe side. It depends on the amount of grafting and the technique that was used.

This usually happens if too much botox was injected and traveled into the orbicularis ori muscle which is lip muscle or the wrong muscle was injected. If done right this should not happen.
At this point you will have to wait until the effects of your botox injection weaken which will take up to 4 months.
Best,

Thank you for your questions and I am sorry about your recovery process!
There are several issues that I see with your surgery. The incision below your chin is to far towards your chin and should have been lower towards the neck. Also it is extremely long! I do all my incision from inside the mouth and use silocone implants (Implantech) in order to avoid infection. Typically Medpore implants because of their porous nature are not placed through inside the mouth because the often...

Your question is difficult to answer without photos. There are too many factors involved to answer without seeing you or at least having photos.

Also it depends on what type of fractional laser is used. Ablative vs. non-ablative, CO2 vs. ERB:Yag and so on.
Hope this helped.

Thank you for your question. I am not sure why a direct brow lift was chosen for your particular case, but I am sure your surgeon had his/her reasons. Typically a brow does not go further up and rather descends with time, particularly over the first year post op. So, if you think they are not elevated enough then that is bad news. As to your revision surgery, you would have to wait until the incision site has fully matured if a different brow lift technique is used (ie. endoscopic,...

Thank you for your question! 2 weeks post rhinoplasty is extremely early to judge the results and if I were you I wouldn’t panic for 3 reasons:
1. You still have swelling no matter how quickly you recover. Swelling particularly in the tip region causes an upturn and rounded shape which makes your nose look like a “pig-nose”. Also the swelling of the tip takes the longest to disappear and could take up to 6 months!
2. Every nose (tip) drops after 1 year no matter what you did to the nose!...

Your question is very generic and is therefore difficult to answer. In general any "change" is relative and the perception of "change" is very individual and depends on your expectations. I always try to be clear about my patients expectations before I tell them what is possible and what is not. To answer your question, if an upturned tip can be down-turned, the short answer is yes, to a certain point. And this is why a more specific answer is not possible without more detailed photos...

The dark discoloration is due to increased pigmentation around your lips. This is usually caused by "lip-licking" as it dries out to skin around the mouth when it is done chronically. Also it can happen through consumption of citrus products that stay around the lips and then get exposed to UV light.
The treatment would be to stop the cause of the above. Also some creams prescribed by your doctor can help to accelerate the clearance of it in the meantime. But pay attention to any habits...

It is not unusual for your nasal breathing to get worse after you get your nasal splints removed. This has to do with the fact that once the splints are removed the nose has more room to swell until the swelling goes away after several months. The speed of the swelling recovery is very individual depending on the extent of your surgery and your individual healing. You are still early in the recovery process so usually the breathing gets worse before it get better again. But, either way, I...

As a general rule it is not so much what is used but rather thank how and by whom! There are lots of ways to achieve great results, whether it is fillers, fat or your own tissue! You should ask your surgeon for before and after of the technique he will be using in you’re particilar case to judge his results.
Hope this helped!

It is too early to judge results only 2 weeks after your procedure and recommend to wait until all the swelling has subsided. When swelling occurs bumps, dents and new folds and wrinkles come and go. Remember that they are all transient and should resolve with time.
Hope this helped.

It is very difficult to compare arnica vs Vitamin K for bruising after facelift. I would use both if they is severe bruising but make sure you discuss it with your doctor. In general any bruising will eventually go away after several weeks, so a tincture of patience will help too!
Hope this helped.
