Answer Snippet
If I get a botox jaw treatment, will I have to continue to get follow ups for the rest of my life
Not necessarily
Jan 10, 2021
I find that after a few treatments, the muscle has shrunk in size, and if used in conjunction with a well-made nightguard and stress control, you will be able to maintain your new masseter muscle size.
Is it possible to concentrate masseter botox on the lower portion of the muscle?
Yes
Jan 10, 2021
I like to inject in the largest (come out the farthest away from the face) point of the masseter when it is flexed. This is usually around the bottom corner. It will not only define the jawline but also help with clenching/grinding.
Should I replace my dental bonding with veneers?
It depends
Jan 10, 2021
A bonding that was well done will not pick up stain from coffee or soda any worse than natural teeth. Doing two veneers to match the rest of the mouth is quite a tricky feat for the average dentist. You will have to shave down a strong natural tooth structure. Depending on when you had the bonding, the gums may fill in overtime. At this young age, I would personally keep the teeth as is.
Opinion, what do you the the best course of action to improve my teeth?
Comprehensive Consultation
Jan 10, 2021
It is vital to find a dentist who is going to sit down and spend time to listen to your needs and goals. They should take lots of photos and be able to show you a digital or in-person proposal for your smile. Depending on your bite you may need clear aligners first to put everything in the optimal healthy position. Then some possible gum recontouring and a few veneers would go a long way to help transform your smile. Best of luck!
Will composite bonding help with my crooked front teeth?
Start with Clear Aligners
Jan 10, 2021
I would first find a dentist and complete a comprehensive exam to make sure you have a strong foundation to work on. Then I would look into either clear or traditional braces to fix the smile. Thought bonding and veneers have their indications it is always good to start with well-aligned teeth regardless. This alone may take care of your issues and then you will not have to remove or alter any tooth structure.
Impacted canine. Are invisible braces an option?
It depends.
Jan 10, 2021
Clear aligners can repair just about everything that traditional braces can. However, you may still have many of the same rubber bands and other gadgets to complete more complex movements like this. I would see an orthodontist (braces specialist) and get a consultation. They will give the pros and cons of traditional versus clear braces. I hope this helps!
Do I need a gum lift and four porcelain veneers?
Start with the end in mind
Dec 14, 2020
It is vital to find a dentist that does a comprehensive analysis of not only your smile but how it fits into your whole look, as well as your total health.
If you just received a gum reduction with no bone removal the gum will grow back if there is too much bone. Though some general dentists do this procedure you will often have to see a periodontist (gum specialist) for optimal results.
I would start with the gum lift procedure and then decide if you are still unhappy with the shape and…
