This young man desired nasal hump reduction, a stronger chin contour, and improved facial balance. He underwent closed rhinoplasty/septoplasty and chin implant placement through the lower gingivolabial (inner lip) sulcus which results in no visible scar. The chin implant is an "extended" medium sized silicone implant. The advantages of the "closed" rhinoplasty technique (as compared to the more common "open" technique) is there is no visible scar, very little pain, less post-operative bruising and swelling, and an overall shorter recovery period.
