Silicone gel sheeting has been shown to be effective in reducing scar appearance and can be used on the scar 2 weeks after surgery. You cut a piece the size of the scar and apply at night, remove during the day. The same piece can be washed with soap and water, pat dry and used over and over again. I would not use this while using efudex cream in that area, so if you are treating the Mohs surgery site with efudex I would hold off on the silicone gel sheeting, otherwise you may…
