Chin Implant with Mandibular angle implants OR a Facetite (radiofrequency tightening) procedure
Oct 19, 2020
Hello,You may be a good candidate for a jawline liposuction along with Facetite, which is a skin tightening device using radiofrequency energy. This can be combined with a chin implant augmentation. However, if you desire a more significant jawline definition especially at the angles of the jaw, mandibular implants may be an option as well.Hope this helps, and best of luck!

Rhinoplasty- Deprojection vs. Supratip Break, can both be done?
Deprojection and Supratip Break (Rotation)
Jul 19, 2020
Hello,
Thank you for your quesiton. Both are possible, as they are two different maneuvers, although one may affect the other. Deprojection refers to how far your nose sticks out (farthest point of your nasal tip) from your face when looking at your side profile. Supratip break goes with rotation of your nose and refers to a gentle depression just above the tip of your nose to create a more “lifted” tip from the line of your dorsum. Surgeons with knowledge and experience in rhinoplasty can…
Would I be a good candidate for buccal fat removal?
Heavy cheek tissue
Jul 19, 2020
Hello,
A buccal fat excision/reduction surgery helps achieve a slimmer appearance in the cheeks just below the zytoma (cheek bone). From the pictures you provided comparing your upright face vs. lying down, it appears that there is mild sagging of your cheek tissue (fascia, subcutaneous fat, and skin) due to gravity, not necessarily from the buccal fat pads. While the buccal fat reduction surgery will help in slimming the sides of your cheeks even further, the lower cheek heaviness next to…
Jaw fillers or jaw implants?
Jawline Implants for a Permant improvement
Jul 4, 2020
A steep jawline and long facial shape can be distressing to many. While HA fillers, fat grafting, and radiesse can give temporary improvement of the appearance, those procedures have their own risks and do not address the underlying problem which is your jaw bone.
For a more permament improvement of your facial shape, mandibular angle implants can address your concerns. The mandibular implant placement surgery can be performed safely by qualified surgeons of the…
Improvement of “heavy” neck surgery? Healthy, 36 year old guy, normal to thin body type
Submental liposuction, plastysma (neck muscle) tightening with a small under the chin incision
Jul 4, 2020
Hi,
Based on the photographs provided, submental fat reduction along with neck muscle tightening surgery (platysmaplasty) may be of benefit in your situation. Skin tone appears to be good, so likely you will not need skin lifting and/or skin removal behind the ears like the way that most neck lift procedures are performed. Only a central under chin incision about 3~4cm wide that is placed in under your chin crease is needed to access that fat and the platysma muscle. This can be…
Can you advise on corrected/adjusted/upgraded FFS for a more defined jaw and no jowls?
Facial Feminization Jawline Surgery
Jun 6, 2020
Thank you for your question. With the limited pictures provided, it appears that your jaw/chin line is asymmetric and slightly retruded which could contribute to some jowling. This can be corrected surgically — revision chin/jawline surgery in combination with a face/neck lift could help address your concern. Cheek hollowing (depending on the size of the defect and location) can be addressed with fillers, fat grafting, or at the time of face/neck lift.
Full facial…
Should I do a lip lift, fat graft or filler?
Lip lift for facial feminization
Jun 6, 2020
Thanks for your question. You may be a good candidate for a lip lift procedure, which can shorten the philtrum length to show more of the upper teeth edges (considered a youthful feature) and evert the upper lip to show slightly more of the red lip tissue.
It is a procedure that can be done with local anesthesia only, or with mild sedation. Scar is hidden just under the nose and eventually tends to heal very well. Face surgeons specializing in cosmetic and reconstructive…
Option to treat saggy jawline & fat pockets around the mouth?
Saggy jawline and jowls by your mouth
May 27, 2020
Thanks for your question. Kybella can address the submental fat deposits in the center of your neck under the chin, but is not safe to be injected into the fat pockets (jowls) by your mouth due to concerns with facial nerve branches that control the movement of your mouth.
From the limited pictures provided, you may benefit from a lower face and neck lift, where the excess fat is removed and the muscle is tighented, then excess skin is pulled and removed to give…
What can I do to help elevate my left side and fix asymmetry in my jaw, mouth and cheeks?
Facial Asymmetry in the mouth, jaw and cheeks
May 25, 2020
Thanks for your question. Facial asymmetry can range from mild to severe and the solutions vary widely depending on what is causing asymmetry — is it your soft tissue (muscle and fat)? Is it your underlying facial bone structure? or is it both?
Everyone has some degree of facial asymmetry, especially in animation, and people may have different thresholds to notice such asymmetry. It is worthwhile to weigh the benefits vs. risks of undergoing a certain procedure/surgery…
Can phones in selfie mode distort your face? I don’t know which one I truly look like
Nose Distortion with Cell Phone Selfie
May 15, 2020
Thank you for your question. Self-portraits taken with your cell phone often distorts your face on your photograph, making the nose appear larger than normal. The degree of distortion increases as you get closer to your cell phone. Diagnostic photographs from multiple views are taken during your consultation or pre-surgical visit, so it is best to discuss the findings in-person with your surgeon. Hope this helps, and best wishes.
During rhinoplasty, if it’s being done for increase in nasal bridge, will it effect eyebrow movement in a
Rhinoplasty and Eyebrow movement
May 15, 2020
Thank you for your question. An augmentation rhinoplasty can increase the height of the radix (deepest part where the forhead transitions to the nose) and the nasal bridge, and may alter the appearance of the overall nose/eyebrow area; however, the movement of your eyebrows should not be affected. Hope it helps; best wishes.

Looking for the best course of action for my gobbler/turkey neck. Neck lift? Lower facelift? Chin implant
Neck lift with chin implant or advancement surgery
May 13, 2020
Hi there!
I understand your concerns. Although extensive orthodontic treatment may have improved your bite and smile, a weak chin can make your neck/jawline less defined, especially as we age.
From the photograph provided, though limited, what I would recommend is a recessed chin profile and an obtuse neck-throat angle. A neck lift with either a chin implant or a genioplasty (sliding chin advancement) surgery may help. Chin implant augmentation is a small silicone implant that can be…
When can I get fillers after upper bleph?
Upper eyelid filler after blepharoplasty
May 7, 2020
Hi there,
It is typically best to wait at least 6 months, if not longer. Although most of the swelling has gone and the eyelid shape is close to its final result from surgery by 6-9 months, there can be minor residual swelling.
Certain type of filler can work in that area. Also I have had good success with autologous fat grafting in the hollowed upper eyelids who want a more permanent solution. Thanks for your question; Hope this helps!

How would a surgeon fix my jaw and chin? Should I get it done?
Strong Chin
May 6, 2020
Hi there!
I recognize and understand your concern. Since the bite was non-surgically treated and was camouflaged as best as possible, the teeth fit great; however you are still left with a strong chin/lower jaw facial profile. This can potentially be corrected with jawline surgery or chin surgery alone.
Have a consultation with a surgical specialist who performs bony surgeries of the face. Usually the consult will entail physical exam and a CT scan of the facial bones….
Is there any natural way to remove or lessen a cleft chin?
Sharp angle between the chin and lower lip
Mar 24, 2020
The sharp angle that you don’t like can be improved with dermal fillers which last about 1- 1.5 years depending on which product is used. The filler injection treatment needs to be repeated, however, unlike surgery.
It is important to understand what causes this angle/line in the chin. Is it that your lower teeth and jaw are too far back? Is it your chin that is too small? Is it that your chin muscle (mentalis) is too large compared to where your lower teeth are? Proper…
