Hi, thank you for your question. It is unlikely that your results will change much beyond 6 months out. It would be worth seeing your original surgeon to discuss your concerns. If he or she is not a board certified plastic surgeon, I would transfer your care to someone who is to ensure any additional procedures you had were the most appropriate procedures and performed in the best manner possible.

Hi - thank you for your question. Swelling after liposuction is very common. One-sided swelling (like on foot or leg) is NOT common, and could indicate a dangerous complication. If your swelling is outside of what your surgeon described as normal, you should contact him or her right away.

Hi - thank you for your question. I generally don't advise my patients to do this at all after these procedures. I find that they don't enhance the results, but they are uncomfortable and expensive.

Hi, thank you for your question. It looks like that would do well with a little fat grafting to fill in the depression as well as (maybe) releasing soft tissue attachments under the crease. There are very good way to address this - to decide on the best one have an exam with a board certified plastic surgeon.

Hi, thank you for your question. We would first have to see exactly why you have this lump - is it fat or bone? How did the infection / injury affect your underlying anatomy. If the issue is excess fat, yes, liposuction could be performed with a very safe side effect profile. If the problem has to do with your boney anatomy, the bone itself could be shaved to improve your chin's contour and symmetry.

Hi, thank you for your question. If you are looking for a flat stomach, unfortunately only a tummy tuck can deliver this result for you given the amount of loose skin that you appear to have. While liposuction will reduce the size of your abdomen, the excess skin you will have left over will most likely look "deflated." Hi, thank you for your question. Of all the devices available to tighten loose skin after liposuction, radio frequency energy has offered the beast results in my hands. The appearance of your back could also potentially be improved by breaking up some of the tissue anchoring the valleys in the rolls of your back to deeper tissue. I would recommend an in-person evaluation with a board certified plastic surgeon to discuss all your options.

Hi Mary - thank you for your question. Loose skin can occurs after liposuction if the skin is not elastic enough to contract around the reduced volume in the area suctioned. You are young, and if you are healthy and do not smoke, your skin should have good elasticity. If your surgeon removes a reasonable amount of fat, I wouldn't be too worried about loose skin. I do not think adding CoolSculpting would improve your results, as it is a less powerful and less precise method of fat...

Hi Lynnia, thank you for your question. I would wait until 6 months after your liposuction to see the final results after all swelling has resolved. If you would still like to see a tighter abdomen at that point, a physical examination with a board certified plastic surgeon would let you know if the issue is remaining fat, extra skin, or a combination of the two. If the only problem is excess fat, additional liposuction would be useful. I recommend using ultrasound in secondary liposuction...
