If you consider that new implants alone will cost about $2000, and revisionary breast surgery is more difficult than the primary surgery, it would almost always cost much more than the $4000 you have budgeted. I assume you have saline implants and, looking at your right breast, you have a good size and shape and, in my opinion the left side is way too large. So, your most cost effective solution would be to simply remove your implants. You would then be symmetrical....

This is absolutely not the type of advice that can or should be given in a forum such as this. You have healing problems from your surgery and should contact your plastic surgeon. You might be prescribed an antibiotic cream for your wound issues. Alcohol should never be used in an open wound.

This is a very complex question. In general, the bigger your breasts, the more you will droop. Sometimes, drooping can be made less noticeable by lowering the level of the crease below the breasts. If your incision was closed properly and you refrain from exercise and sex for three weeks postop, you should not have issues with your incision. Of course, that means you do not have diabetes, or smoke, or have other healing issues. Your surgeon should not remove so much skin that the wound would be in danger of opening.

Your doctor was correct in canceling your surgery. Tummy tucks have a 2% DVT rate, even without hormonal influence. Add to that a hormone eluting IUD and you've got potentially life threatening problems. Have the IUD removed and wait a month before having surgery.

The new generation of "form stable" or "gummy bear" implants have a lower complication rate than the older silicone gel implants. If you have concerns about the safety of silicone gel (and you should not), then consider saline implants.

Poor results would be predictable for you because of your weight. Body contouring should be performed only when you are fairly close to your ideal weight. Otherwise, the complication rate and poor result rate will be very high. And that does not serve you well. I would worry a lot about a plastic surgeon who agreed to operate on someone who is not a good candidate for surgery.

Sorry - but your result just will not be good after liposuction of any other body contouring surgery. You need to drop to below 150 pounds before considering any cosmetic surgery. Your complication rate will be too high and you'll have rippling and dimpling. Count those calories and head to the gym.

The death rate from general anesthesia is 1:500,000 and that includes 90 year olds with heart disease. The death rate from driving every day for a year is 1:10,000. Choose a board certified plastic surgeon and a board certified anesthesiologist and an accredited facility and, if you're over 60, have a stress test. With all of these things, the chance of a problem is very low.

Big mistake smoking before or after surgery...or ever. There is no question that virtually all complications will be increased if you continue smoking. I would recommend holding off on surgery until you are sure you can quit.

Be careful with liposuction in this area, as it is the worst healing part of the body. Lipsuction of the calves and ankles must be performed very carefully, but a board certified plastic surgeon with a lot of experience in this area.
