Silhouette threads: effect on smile, and other procedures. – how might silhouette thread lifts affect
A skilled surgeon will affect the outcome of your thread lift the most.
Jun 24, 2019
Hi, and thank you for your question. A silhouette thread lift is a nonsurgical facial rejuvenation procedure that provides a subtle lift to your facial features with very little downtime. During this procedure, absorbable suspension threads with small, smooth bidirectional cones are implanted to lift, tighten, smooth and restore a more youthful appearance to your face. When a silhouette thread is done properly, it should have no negative affect on your smile. Consult with a qualified surgeon…
Can get filler and Botox if have rosacea condition? My skin is very reactive even if I use sunscreen.
You should still be able to get filler and BOTOX® with rosacea.
May 2, 2019
Great question, thanks for asking. Rosacea shouldn’t prevent you from getting injectables like fillers and BOTOX®, but it’s worth mentioning to your provider that you struggle with rosacea so you’re on the same page. He or she may also be able to help you with a customized skincare routine, if you don’t already have one, to help manage your symptoms. Many people with rosacea find that certain sunscreens cause redness. You might try a sunscreen that contains minerals like zinc oxide or titan…
Length of Botox less than 2 months?
Make sure you are working with a reputable and experienced provider.
Feb 28, 2019
Hello, and sorry to hear of your frustrating experience. On average, BOTOX® lasts 3 to 4 months before gradually wearing away, but it can last shorter or longer than that, depending on how quickly your body metabolizes the product. However, seven weeks is very short for BOTOX to last. I would check in with your provider and voice your concerns with them. Also double-check that he or she is properly trained and certified in BOTOX administration. You might consider finding a different …
Semi-permanent result after continuous use of Botox and lip fillers?
You may be able to space your treatments out farther apart over time.
Dec 31, 2018
This is a great question. While neither BOTOX® nor lip fillers will ever produce permanent results, you may be able to get away with spacing your treatments further and further apart the more you use them. Continued use of BOTOX may cause muscle atrophy, which may give you longer-lasting results over time. Lip fillers that contain hyaluronic acid may help to give you longer-lasting results over time by stimulating collagen production. However, scar tissue will not create a semi-permanent …
Could I use a home hair removal laser to remove hair on my hairline?
You’ll see the best results with a professional LHR treatment.
Dec 3, 2018
Hello, and thank you for your question. At-home laser treatments are not nearly as effective as professional machines, as there are safety concerns here. Even with a weaker device, you still run the risk of burns, hyperpigmentation and other complications when you DIY laser treatments. You will see much better and safer results with professional laser hair removal treatments.
Would a Silhouette lift or Juvederm Voluma in the upper and mid cheeks be best?
Silhouette Instalift™ will provide longer lasting results.
Sep 17, 2018
Based on your photos, it looks like you could see the outcome you’re looking for with either the Instalift™ or injectable fillers, although you will most likely see much longer lasting results with Instalift. Unlike fillers, Instalift is able to stimulate your skin’s natural production of collagen, which means that you should continue to see improvements in the tightness and youthful appearance of your skin over time, whereas fillers produce their maximum results in about two wee…
I am a 63 y/o female who smoked for over 30 plus years. Best plan for smoker lips: Silhouette facelift
The best choice for you will depend on your goals.
Jul 26, 2018
Hello, and thank you for your question. Without photos or an in-person evaluation, it’s impossible to say which treatment option might make the most sense for your needs. That said, the firs thing you need to decide on is what your goals are. If you are primarily concerned with lines around your mouth, fillers might be your best bet. However, the InstaLift™ can be a good choice if you’re also bothered by skin laxity in other areas of your face. I would recommend sitting down with an …
