Is there a limit for Silikon 1000 in lips? How many sessions are the maximum?
Silikon 1000 - What is the safe maximum number of sessions?
Aug 30, 2019
Unfortunately, There is no "magic number". The answer to this question would depend on how much Silikon 1000 is being injected into the lips during each session, the size and shape of the lips as well as the response after each session.
I use the micro-droplet technique and use extremely small amounts of Silikon 1000 during each treatment. I also have patients wait a MINIMUM of 4 weeks between sessions so that the result can be...
Is this a Pollybeak Deformity?
concerns after rhinoplasty
Jul 26, 2019
Swelling can persist for several months following rhinoplasty, and, frankly speaking, it is just too early to know for sure. Try and remain patient but be sure to communicate openly with your surgeon. If the bump doesn't show any signs of improvement in the next 6 months, make an appointment to have your surgeon check it again. All the Best to you,
Could I have a closed rhino or will a nose filler look good with my nose?
Rhinoplasty or Fillers
Jul 26, 2019
You would need to have a Rhinoplasty instead of fillers to address this issue. It appears as though you are a great candidate for the surgery.
Best Filler for Eye Wrinkles
Fillers aren't your only choice
May 17, 2019
Dear Rosane,
You actually have several options depending on your individual situation. If the wrinkles are visible "at rest", Restylane might be a very good choice. If you only notice the wrinkles when you squint, Botox might be the answer. You might also might want to consider laser resurfacing.
It is possible that any one (or combination) of these options could be what you are seeking. A photo would be very...
Is it normal for a doctor to advertise certain fillers and then not offer them, or to limit the typ
Injectable Fillers
May 17, 2019
Kasey,
Thank you for your question. While I find it strange that a doctor would advertise products that he/she doesn't use, it does sound reasonable to limit the variety of fillers offered.
When you call to schedule an appointment, ask what products are currently offered. You might find that there are only a few products normally kept "in stock". This is probably because, in their...
Can paralysis of lower lip resolve?
lower lip paralysis
Apr 25, 2019
If there was no direct damage to the nerve and the paralysis was caused by stretching or swelling around the nerve, it could certainly resolve on it's own. Have you seen any noticeable improvement in the 5 weeks since your surgery? If so, that is a positive sign. Unfortunately, I can't tell you how long. It might be several weeks and possibly several months before it feels back to "normal".
Would tear trough or cheek filler be the best option to fix my eye bags?
fillers in tear troughs or cheeks
Apr 17, 2019
Restylane works well in the tear trough area. While cheek fillers can provide very nice results, they are temporary and have to be repeated. Some fillers last longer than others and it is important that you discuss the different options available.
Malar implants would be worth your consideration for the augmenting the cheeks because the result would be permanent. This is a surgical procedure so there are additional risks associated that aren't an issue...
Do you think I need only one syringe for both eyes, or one syringe for each eye to fill under-eye h
Eye hollows and wrinkles
Apr 17, 2019
In my experience in using Restylane underneath the eyes, I would expect that a 1cc syringe would probably be enough for both areas. Remember, you can always go back and have more injected if it doesn't meet your expectations.
What would be best for my tear trough fillers? Juvederm or Restylane? How many cc?
treating tear troughs with injectables
Apr 17, 2019
I prefer using Restylane for tear troughs and have been using it for many years.
Restylane provides a very smooth resulth because it has less density and is a good option for the tear trough area where the skin is thinner.
I’m 10 months post op and the tip of my nose is fairly hard and looks bulbous. Will this get any be
bulbous tip
Jan 25, 2019
A little hard to answer without better pre and post op pictures, but in general, you will know when the swelling in the tip has resolved when the nose loosed the firm, woody feeling that you experience after rhinoplasty. Usually that swelling will resolve in about 6 months, but it can take longer. If swelling persists, cosmetic surgeons will often inject steroids to help diminish the swelling. This is something you can discuss with your surgeon
Am I entitled to a refund if I'm not happy with my rhinoplasty?
re: am I entitled to a refund
Jan 25, 2019
The short answer is: Probably not.
In general, surgeons make no guarantee as to results of surgery. Many surgeons, however, feel that if a patient is unhappy with the result or if there is some deficiency in the result, some sort of concession is indicated. In some cases, surgeons will make that known prior to surgery. In my practice, we provide patients with some general written guidelines as to what can be expected if additional surgery is required.
Of course it is...
Would a nose job suit my facial features? As of recently I’ve been contemplating on getting a nose
re: am I suitable for a nose job
Jan 25, 2019
Whats missing in your question is the most important thing, and that is what is it about your nose that bothers you. From a technical aspect, a slight dorsal reduction with tip elevation would work out very nicely. Without a front view, it's impossible to completely analyze your nose.
But that's not the main issue. What is important is to be sure your goals are clearly understood between you and your surgeon. Unrealistic exceptions are probably one of the most common...
Will Botox be enough to fix my current static lines?
Botox for forehead lines
Jan 24, 2019
I'm not exactly sure as to what you consider "light Botox". If the muscles aren't treated with enough, you will still have the lines. Botox will stop the muscle movement that contributed to the lines in the first place and prevent them from increasing but, unfortunately, it will not totally eliminate the lines that you see at rest. You might, however, see a significant change in the lines at rest especially if you repeat the procedure before the...
Does throwing up alter rhinoplasty results?
Rhinoplasty results
Jan 24, 2019
I doubt that an episode of vomiting would have a long term effect on the results of your rhinoplasty surgery. I do recommend that you see your surgeon if you have noticed any changes or if you continue to have these episodes.
Nose tip slanted to the right and bridge side hump. Is it still early to judge my results?
Rhinoplasty results
Jan 24, 2019
First of all, I urge you to talk with your surgeon. I cannot stress the importance of keeping the lines of communication between surgeon and patient open after surgery.
Secondly, While 3 months may seem like a long time to a patient who is anxious to get their final result, it can actually take much longer. Recovery time is different from patient to patient. There are so many variables that come into play. For...
