I have treated several patients with this issue using hyaluronic acid gel fillers. The risk is very low, minimal down time and the result is immediate. It takes very little filler and it lasts a long time. Having said that , don’t let just anyone inject your nose, there is a risk of skin necrosis in this area. Someone with experience will know how to minimize the risk and treat any problems that may occur. If you want a permanent change, surgery will be needed.

If there is a chance of gaining weight, you should wait until you have recovered from your thryoidectomy and check your appearance. Everyone is different, but in general a modest weight gain will be favorable for your facial appearance. At that point you might be able to treat any remaining areas of volume loss with less filler than you would have needed otherwise.

I think your physique would actually do quite well. It would help if you could gain some weight. It is too early to tell. 350-325 range implants on your frame should put you in a solid “C” cup range understanding that every bra company has different standards for cup size. Give the implants time to fall (4-6 weeks) and your skin to accommodate and stretch. If after 3-4 months you still want to be bigger, talk to your surgeon.

You need to give it much more time. It can take months for the majority of the swelling to go down. Things that can help are taping, massage, steroid pills, and very directed steroid injections. Talk to your surgeon, but most of all be patient. It WILL change and shrink with time.

So it looks like you had two things happen, the hematoma and loss of some of the skin that area (skin necrosis). Proper wound care is important now to get the wound clean and stable. Based on your photos you look like you have a standard hump on your nose. There is nothing I see that makes a rhinoplasty particularly challenging in your case. I agree with the other post, get checked by your doctor and make sure you are not missing a background disease process that can affect the eyes, like thyroid problems, before having surgery. YES, you can expect to have smaller and straighter nose without sacrificing your breathing. Certain maneuvers can be done to maintain your nasal breathing (or make it better) and not make you nose noticeably wider. Texas is a big place. There are may very good nasal surgeons there. Try to get a recommendation from a friend or someone you trust. Otherwise you can go to the rhinoplasty society website, a good place to start.

Tough to tell from your photo (smart phone??). If it is indeed cartilage sticking out, no that is not normal and I would recommend you see your surgeon immediately. On the other hand it could be skin that is pale from poor blood flow, in which case you should also let your surgeon know. If you can post a photo with more detail and taken from a SLR camera it would help. If it is cartilage though, you should see your surgeon ASAP….
