My vascular surgeon will not fix my varicose veins due to the vein it is branching off of.
A second opinion is indicated
Jun 25, 2018
I agree with the other physicians that you need a second opinion from a qualified vein disease physician. Most varicosities can be safely treated, so it is unusual that nothing can be done in your case. Best of luck.
I noticed a pimple with broken capillaries on my back. I’ve never tried to pop it or had trauma to
See your doctor
Jun 24, 2018
It’s hard to tell from the picture what this lesion is. I think you should see your doctor if you have not already done so. Best of luck.
I have varicose veins at the back of my knee and on my thighs.
Yes, there are treatments for your veins
Jun 24, 2018
There are safe and effective treatments for your veins. Before doing treatment your doctor will want to know if you have any signs or symptoms of serious underlying vein disease. For example, if you have aching, heavy and tired legs the doctor may recommend an ultrasound examination of the veins in your legs to see if there is problem that needs treatment deeper in the leg. If you are not having any leg symptoms, and simply want some cosmetic treatment of the veins, it can be done in the…
Can EVLT be carried out under tattooed skin?
Tattoos are not affected by EVLT
Jun 24, 2018
There is no problem performing an EVLT procedure on a leg with a tattoo in the same area. The procedure heats the vein and for safety the doctor will be careful that the vein is not too close to the skin to be sure none of the heat reaches the skin. Therefore, the treatment should always be far enough away from the skin that it will never be affected, tattoo or not. Go ahead and get the treatment if your doctor thinks it is appropriate. Good luck.
I stand all day as i am a teacher. Are those veins varicose veins showing up on my ankle?
Symptoms of Vein Disease
Jun 13, 2018
What I would recommend is to see a vein specialist. They will do an ultrasound on your legs, determine how your veins are functioning (usually the problem is within the veins that can’t be seen) and come up with a proper treatment plan. It is very common for teachers to have vein disease due to standing on their feet all day. There are a few different options as far as treatments that will get your legs feeling a lot better. There are some symptoms that go along with…
I have really bad varicose veins in my left leg
Symptoms of Vein Disease
Jun 13, 2018
Itchy, hot and painful legs are all signs of venous insufficiency. What I would recommend is to see a vein specialist. They will do an ultrasound on your legs, determine how your deep veins are functioning and come up with a proper treatment plan. It is not uncommon for a 29 year old to notice signs of vein disease who work on their feet all day. There are a few different options as far as treatments that will get your legs feeling a lot better. Good Luck!
