I agree with the other physicians that you need a second opinion from a qualified vein disease physician. Most varicosities can be safely treated, so it is unusual that nothing can be done in your case. Best of luck.

There is no problem performing an EVLT procedure on a leg with a tattoo in the same area. The procedure heats the vein and for safety the doctor will be careful that the vein is not too close to the skin to be sure none of the heat reaches the skin. Therefore, the treatment should always be far enough away from the skin that it will never be affected, tattoo or not. Go ahead and get the treatment if your doctor thinks it is appropriate.
