What is the best way to treat acne along chin and jawline?
Jawline acne
Mar 27, 2015
A lot of times, acne on the lower 1/3 of the face can suggest acne that may be of hormonal influence. In addition to topicals, there are also oral hormone manipulators a such as birth control or spironolactone that may help. You should talk with your doctor about the risks and benefits of these medications to see if they may be right for you. Many times, I see excellent improvements with these medications. With to regards to your PIH, I agree that trying to prevent breakouts is the...
I used tretinoin cream and my face is peeling. Is there a way to stop this?
Tretinoin and peeling
Mar 25, 2015
What you are experiencing is a very normal side effect from tretinoin. I usually have my patients apply only a pea sized amount to their entire face. When eb you first start tretinoin, peeling is common. You could reduce your use to every other night or even every third night, then try to increase by one night per week as tolerated until using nightly. Alternatively, you could mix the tretinoin with moisturizer prior to applying to see if this helps with the dryness. If you are...
My age is 23 and I have small tight whiteheads under my eyes. How can they remove ?
Milia extraction
Mar 20, 2015
My guess is that what you have are actually milia. These can easily be treated in office by a simple extraction procedure. Good luck!
What kind of treatment would you suggest for my acne scars and pigmentation?
Acne scarring
Mar 18, 2015
Once you are no longer having breakouts, there are many options for treating your scars and dyspigmentation. One of my favorite treatments is the Fraxel Dual laser. This has the ability to treat scars as well as brown spots with excellent results. You would probably need between 3-5 treatments spaced about 4 weeks apart. I hope this helps.
Seeking help for best treatment for deep multi type acne scarring?
Acne scarring
Mar 17, 2015
I agree with what has been mentioned-- you want to ensure that your acne is under good control and that your breakouts are very infrequent prior to cosmetic treatment of your scarring. I love using the fraxel dual laser using the 1550nm setting. It has excellent results for acne scarring. I do feel you would need 3-5 treatments spaced about 4 weeks apart. Best wishes in whatever you decide.
Do fillers address vertical lines around lips and droopy sad mouth?
Fillers for around the mouth
Feb 17, 2014
I would recommend making an appointment with a board certified physician who can address your specific concerns. Generally speaking, fillers are an excellent choice for improving the areas that you are inquiring about. Best wishes.
