What laser would be best for this tattoo and how many sessions would I need? Also is it a good locat
Laser Tattoo Recommendation
Aug 3, 2014
I would recommend the new Picosure nanosecond pulsed laser from Cynosure. It looks as if there is some red pigment also which would respond best to the Medlite C-6 Q switched laser also from Cynosure. You can go to cynosure.com for more information. We have both lasers in our clinic. I'm not sure what state you are in, but check for a clinic that can offer both of these lasers. Remember that many treatments spaced 6-8 weeks apart are required to fade a tattoo, so it...
Which Laser Should I Go With? Revlite, quanta, fotona? Black Done in Shop 2inchcross on Cheek/sideburn
Picosure Laser is the Best
Oct 20, 2013
The Picosure Laser is the latest technology and breaks up the ink faster and better (smaller particles) so that your body absorbs the ink faster. The fact that it's on your face means it will respond much better than tattoos on the trunk or extremities. We have had tattoos on the face resolve in as little as 2 treatments depending on the amount of ink used. Go to Cynosure.com and enter your zip code. We have one of only a couple in the state of Florida.
How Can I Treat a Huge Canker Sore?
Canker sore??
Aug 29, 2013
The epithelium looks intact in your photo. A canker sore would have erosion and loss of epithelium and look more raw. This appears to be more of a blister as far as I can see. You really need to see a dermatologist to look at it more closely and diagnose it. I would stop any treatment prior to seeing a dermatologist also, as treatments can sometimes change the natural appearance. Is it sore at all? It could be a mucocoele cyst if it is not painful. They are benign and can be drained...
My Daughter is Almost 15y. Old. Would You Recommend a Hair Treatment in Her Case?
Laser Hair Removal for 15 yr old
Aug 17, 2013
We have successfully treated many teenagers, with their parents consent. The facial hair is surely a worry to your daughter and laser hair removal treatments will certainly help minimize her problem while her hormones stabilize. Be sure to check around for pricing, as treatment prices vary dramatically. Typically companies that only do laser hair removal and heavily advertise are many times more expensive than medical clinics offering other dermatologic services. Also,...
Latisse is Making my Eyes Red and a Little Itchy, Should I Stop Using It?
Latisse Eye Irritation
Aug 17, 2013
It is normal for some temporary redness and dryness to occur with Latisse. Apply it at night and use just enough to dampen the roots of the lashline. If you normally had dry eyes, then you will notice that Latisse makes it somewhat worse. Try using "Blink" eye lubricant eye drops before you appy Latisse at night and again in the morning. You can also use "Blink" (or a similar lubricant eye drop) throughout the day as needed.
Does PicoSure Get Rid Of Red Ink?
Picosure not the best for red ink
Aug 9, 2013
At North County Dermatology Clinic in Lakeland, Florida we offer the Picosure for all ink colors except red. For red ink, the Q-switched ndYag 1064 Medlite C6 by Cynosure works better. We have both to treat all ink colors.
Is Getting A Tattoo Removed With The Picosure Laser More Painful Than Using The Q-Switch Laser?
Picosure not more painful than Q-switched laser
Aug 9, 2013
We have both the Picosure and Q-switched laser (which we use for red ink). Our patients report about the same amount of pain. During the treatment, we use a Zimmer air cooler that blows very cold air on the skin during your treatment which helps diminish your pain. Afterward, we apply ice packs and our patients tolerate the treatments quite well. Since your tattoo is small, the treatment will be very quick. You should do fine!
