What skin peel or laser would you recommend?
What skin peel would you recommend
Dec 13, 2015
A series of salacylic acid peels containing retinoids will be very helpful for the tone, and blackheads.
Do you think this is melanoma/skin cancer?
Do you think this is melanoma/skin cancer
Dec 13, 2015
I recommend having a dermatologist evaluate this mole, but you should gain some reassurance from the knowledge that melanoma is rare in pre-pubertal children and even benign moles change to some degree in children as they grow.
What is the least invasive treatment for a small BCC?
Treatment for small basal cell
Nov 17, 2015
There are a variety of non-invasive treatments for small basal cell skin cancers. Options include topical imiquimod, photodynamic therapy and electrodesiccation and curettage. If the cancer is close to your eye and nose, however, Mohs surgery may be the standard of care and the best treatment because it provides the highest cure rate (99%) and spares the normal tissue. In general, patients who undergo Mohs surgery and immediate reconstruction will have their sutures removed in...
Mole removed on first appointment?
Mole Removal
Nov 17, 2015
Mole removal on the initial visit depends on the depth and type of the mole. Some moles that are raised can be easily removed during the first appointment.

Restylane bruising
May 13, 2015
It is very common to experience bruising and mild tenderness after Restylane. For patients who tend to bruise easily, I recommend Arnica tablets and avoiding blood thinners, such as aspirin, ibuprofen, fish oil, Vitamin E and alcohol (the day before as well as the day you have fillers). The bruising can last a week and may be covered with make-up. If you continue to have pain or any increase in pain, I recommend you follow-up with your doctor.

Fraxel
May 13, 2015
Your response to Fraxel sounds normal. The pin points that you see are the spots where the actual laser was applied to your face. After the initial redness subsides, the overall area may look brown and can be itchy. The pin point marks will begin to slough off as you continue to wash and moisturize your face over the next week. It is important not to pick or scratch these areas, which can cause scarring.
How are Botox, Xeomin, and Dysport priced in most clinics? Are they priced the same? If so, why do mo
Botox, Xeomin, Dysport
May 13, 2015
I have used Botox, Xeomin and Dysport in my practice. In my experience, most people ask for Botox because it is the most well-known and has been around longer. I price them the same, however, it is up to each office to determine how they want to charge patients.
