Do I need a gum lift and four porcelain veneers?

A doctor would need to do a full exam and review your Xrays to make any clinical recommendations. Based off of the photograph, it looks like a gumlift and veneers maybe a really nice option to enhance your smile. A gumlift must be performed correctly to be permanent and prevent the tissue from growing back– there are different types. If the doctor just used a laser to remove some gum tissue, this is not a permanent procedure. You will want a permanent gumlift before the veneers are placed.

Removing veneers and starting Invisalign instead – possible?

Once there are veneers on the teeth, they will need to have some type of covering on them. You can do Invisalign WITH the veneers if you like, though. Teeth can still be moved with veneers. Once they have had something bonded to the surface, they cannot be left unexposed.
Can Invisalign fix a prominent gummy smile and misaligned teeth?

Invisalign can fix the tooth position. The fix for a gummy smile depends on the cause of it… invisalign will not fix this gummy smile based on the amount of gum display. To fix this gummy smile, you would want a gum lift after the invisalign and likely a small amount of botox to drop the lip slightly. This is a very transformative set of procedures that can make a big difference in creating a glamorous smile!
