Biography: Carla Homez is the lead Aesthetics and Body Contouring Specialist at the renowned Bowes Dermatology by Riverchase in Miami, Florida. She received her Doctor of Medicine Degree at the age of 23, from the Universidad of Zulia, Venezuela. After relocating to the United Stated, she joined Bowes Dermatology which is associated with Dr. Dieter Manstein, co-inventor of CoolSculpting technology. In 2010, soon after she joined the practice, she became one of the first Specialists in the World utilizing CoolSculpting technology, and currently, one of the most sought out and experienced CoolSculpting Specialists at the Worldwide CoolSculpting Center of Excellence by Bowes Dermatology with domestic and international patients.

Biography: She has been a great asset to our team, where she has contributed her vast knowledge in her role as an Aesthetic Specialist and Certified CoolSculpting Specialist. As such, she is dedicated to providing patients with advice on advanced skin care, aesthetic treatments and all modalities for non-invasive body contouring and fat reduction. Elizabeth is very passionate about teaching patients the various cosmetic procedures and the rationale behind comprehensive skin care. She is very attentive to their needs and works with them in guiding the best and most personalized approach for their specific skin needs. Since the start of her Dermatology Practice, Elizabeth became a member of the American Academy of Dermatology and the European Academy of Dermatology and Venereology.

Biography: Maria Elena completed her Medical School studies in Havana, Cuba, in 1994. Then, she specialized in Pediatrics and Intensive Care, and worked for several years as an intensivist in the Neonatal Care Unit.

Maria Elena emigrated to the U.S. in 2008 and received here her Bachelor of Science in Nursing, passing later on her national certification as Registered Nurse. She is now pursuing her Master and Doctorate in Nursing Science and Practice at FIU. She joined Bowes Dermatology By Riverchase in 2008, and has worked as a CoolSculpting and Aesthetics Specialist at the center since 2012.

Maria Elena specializes in all techniques for Non-Invasive Fat Removal as well as Skin Tightening. She is also an IPL specialist and aesthetic consultant for our patients. Maria Elena lives with her parents in Miami, and is a proud and dotting aunt to her niece. Her hobbies include traveling, singing and learning new languages.

Biography: Dayanna joined Bowes Dermatology By Riverchase in 2016 as a Coolsculpting and Aesthetics Specialist. She has undergone extensive, specialized training in all Non-Invasive Fat Removal and Body Sculpting Technologies. She is also trained on the full spectrum of non-invasive Skin Tightening Techniques.
As an Aesthetic Consultant at Bowes Dermatology, Dayanna also functions as an educator to patients who come to Bowes Dermatology seeking aesthetic advice regarding procedures, as well as a proper skincare regimen. Dayanna is committed to offering patients the collective cosmetic experience of Bowes Dermatology By Riverchase, coupled to her unique charm and genuine caring for their well-being and treatment outcome.

Biography: Maylen Cadenas, R.N., B.S.N. joined Bowes Dermatology By Riverchase in 2006, after studying medical school in Cuba and arriving in the US ten years ago. She received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Barry University in Miami, Florida. Maylen’s extensive clinical experience includes training at Baptist Hospital, Miami Childrens Hospital, Cleveland Clinic, as well as our very own Mercy Hospital.

As the most experienced CoolSculpting Specialists worldwide, Maylen has performed over 3,000 treatments at Bowes Dermatology By riverchase CoolSculpting Center of Excellence.
