When it comes to risks and benefits, facet is far less likely to cause any complications compared to a surgical facelift. The facetite probe will be based in a plane superficial to your facial nerve. Additionally the heat that the device is putting out is unlikely to cause permanent nerve damage. You may see what we call a temporary nerve palsy (weakness) due to irritation etc but this should not persist after 3 weeks.
Thank...

When it comes to medicine, one needs to analyze the source of a problem to properly treat it. This can be applied to all areas of the body. When I examine the jawline/chin of a patient I ask myself
- Is it a fat excess issue
- Is it a skin laxity issue
- Muscle laxity?
-Or a combination of the sources.
This is what will guide the surgeon. For the modalities
- Liposuction: This is used to remove excess fat. It may have a minimal...

It is challenging to answer your question without knowing exactly what plane (sub muscular, dual place, or sub glandular) was used for your surgery. Also it may prove helpful to know exactly
Flex or animation deformity is when implants are placed in the sub muscular/dual plane position and is caused from the movement of the pectorals muscle. It can be corrected by both surgical and non surgical means though most commonly will...

When it comes to breast lift, the one thing we are all trying to avoid is recurrent ptosis (drooping). Surgeons have been chasing this dream like it is the holy grail. WE have tried any number of suture/pedicle/etc techniques and eventually time and gravity conquer all.
This is where the promise of various surgical meshes comes into the equation. Mesh has been used in hernia repair surgery for decades and has withstood the test of...

In my opinion cosmetic surgery is no different then any other elective surgery; there is no specific age limit but it is more if a person is a candidate for surgery. I have operated on 70 year olds and refused to operate on 30/40 year olds and my decision point is based on their health and whether they will tolerate the surgery itself as well as the post operative recovery. If you are in your 50s and of good health, then by all means...

When it comes to picking breast implant sizes, surface , and filler types it is a lengthy discussion with patients.
Regarding your question about the surface: As you may have hear in the news Allergan's textured implants have been recalled by the FDA due to a link with ALCL a very rare disease that can lead to cancer. This is why for cosmetic purposes I personally have never used textured implants and others will soon...

When it comes to breast augmentation, the breast soft tissue and the implants are settling for the first 3-6 months. After that time, essentially what you see is the final result.
When it comes to breast asymmetry, the first thing I tell every new patient I encounter is that only 15% of the women in the world are born with symmetric breast, and that I will do my best to deliver symmetry after the surgery....

Infection after breast augmentation is a much feared complication. It usually presents with redness of the breast skin, tenderness, fluctuant (feels full like a fluid filled structure), fever, or draining pus (green and foul smelling).
Looking at your photos none of these are present and what I see is something called a 'suture abscess.' This is not an infection, it is just an inflammatory reaction to the suture...

This is a common question of what muscle function remains after a 'Dual Plane' Breast augmentation. IN the Dual Plane technique the bottom edge of the pectoralis major muscle is cut from its lateral border typically to the edge of the sternal attachments. This leaves a significant portion of the pec muscle intact as well as leaving other lesser muscles intact. After the procedure you will likely not notice any loss of muscle function as...

When it comes to breast implant replacement there is many misinformation out there; namely that breast implants should be replaced at 10 years.
I always tell my patients the reason to replace breast implants include
1) Implant rupture
2) Capsular contracture: When a firm capsule forms around the implant
3) Unhappy with cosmetic appearance: Size, Ptosis (drooping), Rippling, Asymmetry, etc
Thank you and...

The correction of symmastia is one of the more challenging problems in all of breast surgery. Strattice is one method surgeons use to reinforce the close of the space to close each breast into its own pocket.
Strattice is porcine dermal matrix, meaning the second layer of pig skin that has been processed to remove all foreign antigens so your body will not 'reject it'. Your surgeon is correct in that it is not 'permanent.' That...

Rhinoplasty can be curative for breathing issues if they are due to airway issues: septal deviation, narrowing of the internal valve, turbinate hypertrophy. If those are found to be the reasons then yes it will help with breathing.
Regarding narrowing the nose: It depends on what particular area you are speaking. The nose needs to be functional and proportional to the face. If we narrow thing too much we are left with...

Opinions will differ regarding whether to proceed with surgery while having a viral illness such as a cold. I typically will move forward with most surgeries if it is just a viral illness, though it is ultimately up to the patient. I also feel like most anesthesiologist I work with would feel the same.
I hope this answers your question and best of luck.

First of all let me say I am sorry as it sounds like you have been through quite a journey there. The challenging part about breast revision surgery, is that the more revisions you undergo, the higher the likelihood of complications and further revisions needed.
Your question: Can be implants be converted from sub muscular back to sub glandular pocket The simple answer is yes, you can take breast implants from a sub...

As you likely already know, the double bubble deformity is likely secondary to continued inferior descent of a breast implant below the inframammary fold (IMF). This may have been secondary to over dissection at the initial operation. It is also common in patients who have high IMFs if it is not noticed at the initial operation and corrected.
Depending on the current plane your implants are located will guide the decision making. IF...
